The lad's girlfriend will be upset when she hears that rumour !matt88 said:We've bid for jodi jones says cawley on twitter. With obileye set to be going the other way in any deal.

First player this window that we've been linked with that I genuinely hope doesn't happen.
Not impressed in either game I've seen him in.
Won't be anywhere near the first team (IMO a wide man that is going to be an improvement on what we already have is more urgent).
Oh yeah, and he has a stupid hair cut.2 -
Exclusive: Charlton bid for Dagenham winger
Thursday, 13 August 2015 By Richard Cawley
CHARLTON have made an offer for Dagenham & Redbridge winger Jodi Jones.
The South London Press understands that the Addicks - linked recently with the 17-year-old - have stepped up their pursuit of the left-footed youngster.
Jones played against Charlton in Dagenham’s Capital One Cup defeat on Tuesday night.
The Addicks are set to include Ayo Obileye in the deal. The young defender impressed on loan for the Daggers last season.0 -
Wouldn't have a problem with him going into the U21 set-up, and with league experience can be called upon if required.
Im sure being just 17, he will improve.2 -
Why would you want to stick him in the u21s when he could easily get experience out in league 2 ?ValleyGary said:Wouldn't have a problem with him going into the U21 set-up, and with league experience can be called upon if required.

Loaning him back after a few weeks would make the most sense3 -
If he's not going to be in the first team squad he would be better off staying on loan with the Daggers and getting League experience.ValleyGary said:Wouldn't have a problem with him going into the U21 set-up, and with league experience can be called upon if required.

17 year olds forwards will have games when they are marked out of games,
It has been the same for Karland at times who is also 17.
It is slightly easier for talented defenders like Joe Gomez who are negating rather than creating.2 -
He would be better coming off the bench and playing left mid... Gives us an extra decent player on the bench instead of just 'fillers'2

Please may I be the one to tell Jj that he's now considered to be a Rock Legend ?soapboxsam said:This is getting Boring.
There's more repeats on CL than the BBC.
Don't keep bringing up Sheffield United or NLA will never come back and watch
another game.
You don't need to be an expert, like what i'm(get off your soapbox)
To know that the 2015/16 season JJ won't be in the 1st 11 on current form.
Jackson misses the buzz of playing and IF and only IF JJ wants to go on loan,
fair enough.
I will repeat what i and others have said Jackson was the conduit between the coaches and held this club together when the club were imploding and has been a rock and a Legend. I would give him a new contract but with more coaching included.
Great captains don't come around very often.

I actually thought he looked pretty good on Tuesday night. Young and raw, will improve. Worth a punt.2

I also enjoy when other posters come in and say something like '226 new posts and not a rumour in them' or something to that accord. Which means they inadvertently make it 227 postsGarrymanilow said:
I think there's now as many comments moaning about how there aren't any rumours or it's gone off topic as there are off-topic comments. It's a self-perpetuating cycle. Look, I've just added to it!cafc_harry said:Is there anyway to ban people from different threads? It's always the same lot that take a thread miles off topic. Back to rumours.
We're a disgrace as a collective as forum members - we manifest the very problems in human society, playing it out on a virtual level to which there have been numerous psychological studies and papers written on the subject1 -
Why does this make me think of him as a succulent piece of sushi ?robroy said:I actually thought he looked pretty good on Tuesday night. Young and raw, will improve. Worth a punt.

So would people rather him than someone like James Henry? Surely we need a left winger who can come straight into the starting line up and improve the team.0

Who has the higher sell-on value?DamoNorthStand said:So would people rather him than someone like James Henry? Surely we need a left winger who can come straight into the starting line up and improve the team.

Don't think anyone's suggesting that Damo. Probably hoping to get him on board and develop his talent with the youngsters whilst pursuing Henry or similar for the first team squad. For what it's worth I thought hue did better against us in the friendly when he was probably more of an unknown quantity. Fox certainly looked after him on Tuesday but he never hid. Wouldn't say he's particularly quick but he's got good feet and uses the ball well for a young kid.0

Any chance whenever you play football you are an attacker?soapboxsam said:17 year olds forwards will have games when they are marked out of games,

Luzon said he wants an attacking midfielder and a Right back.
Henry plays wing or attacking midfield so was/is that target.
Stephen kelly was the RB who took a wrong turning and was last heard of on the M20 stuck between two lorries and having a kick about on the hard shoulder.
Jodi would be one for the future.

Yep - fine with him being one for the future. Just hadnt seen confirmation that this was not seen as a first team signing.0

Apologies below is a post about Powell, move on if you don't wish to read it. See so much rubbish on the RUMOURS thread that I have finally had to post.Chris Powell is a thoroughly nice bloke, he went out of his way to help a dieing child and their family at the awful time. This has no relevance to his status as a player or manager but shows he deserves to be treated in a manner that some seem incapable of.
As a player he was an iconic (England caps) legend for us and one of Curb's better buys.
As a manager he breathed life into a dieing club and dragged us back from the bowels of league one. Then the backing stopped and he was left searching the reject bin, for players only a team expected to struggle would want. We finished way above what was expected and I honestly feel he was doing all that could be asked of him.
The same happened the next summer and our squad weakened, he then lacked the experience that may have helped him keep us higher in the table. Then the takeover happened and despite what was said it was obvious there was anything good about the manager/owner relationship. Powell obviously didn't want the players given to him, like Nego and Thuram. Every coach other than Luzon has said RD wants to pick the team (hopefully he has learnt his lesson there) and that would have been a problem for any British manager.
Results didn't pick up and we went into that quarter final bottom, but with three games in hand. We were poor and a large part of the crowd turned on CP. Yet tweets coming out of people around him showed something catastrophic had happened prior to the game, but nobody really knows what the timeline was other than those involved. After the abject performance CP left and Riga revitalised the team. We steadily improved and climbed away from relegation, the way things were we probably going down under CP. So RD has been proved right can the CP haters now move on as those of us that like the bloke have.

Jones is young enough to improve and wouldn't take up much money so why not?0

If it goes through, let's hope he's more of hit than the last winger we got from Dagenham. :-)2

Looks like the keeper we will be signing is Brad Jones, currently training with us.6
-
Brad Jones might be a tad expensive, wages wise but if we could afford him it would be an excellent piece of business.1
-
Jones will surely want at least a seasons deal you'd have thought so what happens when Hendo is fit? Pope or even Jones out on loan?0
