If it is him, and i have no doubt it is, what a poor sod having to sell that due to a "financial crisis".
Especially considering what players earn now.
Played a big part in that final and in our year up the year after.
Think the club should stump up and buy it off him.0 -
Well it looks like him in the picture...
At that price, I think Oohaah's the only one on here likely to be in the running...0 -
It is very sad, I agree, the club should buy it back, he may want to get it back when he has a little more money.0
-
Has to be said he doesn't look too upset in the picture!0
-
I believe he had a sports memorabilia company and went down the drain.0
-
it is him, remember when he sold his shirt last year as well.
Can't see the club doing it but possibly someone well connected to the club personally might?0 -
It's him alright ,but the medal is probably a fake.
Jonesey was born into a family of 'travellers',and the original medal was melted down to make his mum some new earings and his uncle a couple of teeth!0 -
Seems like a lot of money to me....its not as flash as Id expect a play off final winners medal to be.....looks like the sort of thing that gets handed out to my kids at Football fun week :-)0
-
thats Jonsie alright good powerful foward, always busy, and a complete handful, used to run and run, we got him from West Ham0
-
Sad....0

I think we paid £400K and shipped him on to Bristol City.0
-
Before he became a pro at West Ham he worked in a soap factory in Billericay.
No idea what the relevance of that useless piece of info is ;-).0 -
He deserves a decent bid just for his goal at Swindon that season. Very sad that he's had to do this.0
-
sure is sad
It was him, last year selling stuff is money that bad?
Maybe lay off the Fila clothes and go Matalan that would save a few notes0 -
Why dont we all chip in and buy it off him each lifer owning it for a day a year at 2500 we would need 365 people putting in £7.00
i am up for a scores worth?0 -
Great idea, NLA - I'm in as long it gets delivered to me in Glasgow and picked up the day after ;-) Otherwise the Royal Mail will make a fortune out of us!0
-
weegie i will drop it up and then go on the pish in Glasgow no probs0

-
There are slight flaws in my plan but i am sure we can work around it just needs carefull planning0
-
Maybe we should open A Charlton Life museum and put it in there together with that positive post i made in February 2007.0
-

I had read that comment.
'Anyone' is exactly that: 'one'.
I hardly think a consortium of people constitutes 'someone'0 -
I'd pay £7.50 but only if we display it in a glass cabinet in the club, with a buy-back option for Steve Jones.0
