That's a nice kit Southend have. We should get that in red/white.........

In the video, Joe showed good balance for such a tall bloke - able to drop a shoulder and change direction.
Tidy ball control and composed finishing also.

There's a player inside of him.

And stumbled!! Not so good balance perhaps!

Maybe - but he was still able to pass the ball, without losing possession.

He played the last two games and it seems it was part of rotation to keep players fresh.

    He was on the bench.

Does that mean when watt is put on the bench he suddenly becomes not good enough?

I think he only played as Barry Corr had a family issue in Ireland
  • Unfortunately the nature of professional football is an up or out philosophy. If by age 21, if you are not pushing for a slot in the squad, you are likely to be released. It wouldn't surprise me if the likes of Pigott and Sho Shilva are released either this summer or next at the latest
  • For a 21 year old he still hasn't played a lot of football for one reason or another, not sure if that's been his choice or the club. Has scored goals this year when he has played.

He has a year left on a contract, will be interesting to see if he starts the season with us or out on a loan again, once Luzon has had a chance to have a look at him.

Five in four and all bar one of their last six goals
  • Southend have really picked up now after a slow start... Although League One is anyone's game, wouldnt want to even name four sides for the Play-Offs let alone the Champions / 2nd Place side
  • And Simon Walton scored for Crawley too. Should never have let him go. ;-)
