So, Kashi's leg operation is actually a strained hamstring.Henry Irving said:
"Charlton lost another mainstay for the Fulham game as Ahmed Kashi’s hamstrings - already groaning after he carried on playing with a slight complaint - was ruled out. It perhaps explains why the Algerian, impressive during the opening weeks of the campaign, had run out of steam in his most recent outings."
Again suggests poor decision making by medical and fitness staff. And yes I do know that professional players often play through knocks that would keep amateurs at home.

It is worrying, someone is making bad decisions with our injured players.PragueAddick said:

In these days where every day there seems to be another IT/social media gimmick introduced you'd think there'd be a physio room blog or something where fans could know this sort of stuff.Boughtonaddicks said:Frustrating thing is we don't get enough updates on injuries. When we do its.... He's not far away or could return to training soon. Henderson who imo is our biggest miss, seems to be about to return every week!!!

We play injured players, because we do not have a large enough squad not to.stonemuse said:

Alternatively, we'd be putting out the sort of line up we did against Palace.2 -
So not an ankle operation0

But its ok because we can see goals from 360 degree angles!Covered End said:

I just saw that 360 thing, I hope that didn't cost any money, I guess we can't sign Eva Carneiro.
If Henderson and Mak are available for Reading, fantastic. If Tony Watt can be persuaded to get fit, even better. If the whole squad can be given an extra 5-10% of pace or duration (except cousins and JBG who seem full burst and Diarra Bauer who seem at limit) worth a decent amount of points.
Still hoping to win my bet that Mak gets 10 goals this season.1 -
If we signed Carneiro we'd have even more injuries5

Yes maybe a recipe for a full treatment room. Not sure we would see Vetokele play again. Groin strain.2

I'm confused. I didn't know kashi was injured before Sunday's game. Only presumed he was injured as he wasn't in match day squad.Dansk_Red said:Ahmed Kashi has headed out to Algeria for their friendly fixtures against Guinea and Senegal. I then read on here that someone in the know ( I know ) was told he is having an op on his leg. Not good news I thought.
I haven't seen anything from charlton about his injury, but appreciate it might be somewhere.
Now I read he's off on international duty. To play? To watch?
Can someone tell is he injured or not, coz I haven't got a scooby!1 -
But then players have always played through knocks and strains, even at the biggest clubs. Often it's a borderline decision whether to play or not, if it was the last game of the season and we needed a win to get promoted (or stay up) you'd be annoyed if your best player cried off with a slight strain or bruised toe!Covered End said:

RD should invest in the treatment room - at this rate we're never gonna get big Mak playing again.2
