The last London mayoral election was in 2012, at which point the most recent general election voting had shown just a couple of percentage points difference between number of votes cast for Labour and the Tories in London. So hardly a huge wave of anti-tory sentiment that Boris defeated.
As regards to points 4, 14 and 22. That would put the mayor of London's best assets as i) not being Red Ken, ii) not being Labour and iii) being an annoyance to many. I wouldn't say they were ringing endorsements.
Can you imagine the furor if the mayor of Tokyo came to London and flattened a small child? The man's an embarrassment.

I can understand why people are amused by his very cleverly crafted on camera buffoonery and comic interventions. Personally I stopped finding that amusing a few years ago now.
I suspect however underneath the buffoonery is a really unpleasant individual.23 -

Like I said before I ain't buying this loveable buffoon stuff. He is a corrupt, conniving posh boy who inject AIDS into a family member and giggle about it if he thought it gave him an opportunity.
He is cunning, conniving and clever, this isn't unique in politicians by the nature of what they do its part of the job for them. That is why they are all, barring a very, very small minority impossible to trust.
I'm pretty apathetic towards politicians but I know how the world works. Boris Johnson is fine as a stooge for a job like mayor of London he gives good soundbites and rugby tackles germans and we all love him. When he's trying to stick an airport in kent marshland or flogging off taxpayer funded assets to west ham he's as dirty as the next one12 -
