Our next manager at the game today?

  • Colin 1961 - I take it you have no interest in success returning to the club then. Not for me I'm afraid. Curbs would have us back in the Premiership within 3 years. His record speaks for itself. And please don't give me any guff about having been out of the game for 6 years. Like swimming you don't forget how to manage effectively with the passage of time. He knows good players from bad and knows how to set teams up. I pray common sense prevails and he returns to his rightful home.

Much as I loved Curbs, I don't think even he could perform the miracle we need with the current resources. Besides, he probably wouldn't come even if the job was offered to him. Curbs lived and breathed the Club, he had a say in so many parts of the day to day stuff at the club, I can't see him wanting to come back when he wouldn't even get a say in which players come in and which leave.

Am I getting this right, we are a complete and utter basket case, yet despite this there are people saying they wouldn't want Curbs in charge?????

I'd like Curbs in charge on his own terms. That is not gonna happen.
  • I think even with only minimal reinforments that Curbs would keep us up.

I still wholeheartedly believe that there is the basis of a decent team already there. It's more than baffling to me as to why the quality players we do have are not performing for Luzon.

As for Curbs returning I'm expecting AFKA in a vest bouncing a ball before that.

Talk of Curbs coming back is futile. He's cautious at the best of times when choosing a club to manage so why would he come back to this basket case of a club.
  • Next manager has to be somebody who commands respect and can handle some of the big characters in the dressing room. Luzon clearly failing on both these fronts.

Pearson would be ideal but we have got two hopes of him being appointed!

I have Chinese connections, and I don't want Mackay because of his two faced racist distain for Vincent Tan who was his meal ticket and funded whatever scant success he has had so far.

So that rules out the second favourite (Di Canio)n the betting as well. So it has to be Curbs then.

As well as being an odious character, Wigan suggests he is a busted flush as a manager
  • Mate spoke to malky in the bar today sent me this when I asked if he spoke to him " I did, had a good chat, basically said he'd take either job, ours or Brentford. . Came over as a nice guy, with his lad - we agreed u need players who know this league - that's still the problem
Whoever comes in. . Need 5 players minimum "
  • Not that Curbs would take it but the fucktards who say they wouldn't want him wtf really really really , are you really on the same planet as me .....

Was never Luzon's biggest fan, but if Mackay is appointed then giving him seats in the directors' box on the day that the bloke was fighting to hold on to his job really lacks class.

In July 2012, Cardiff signed South Korean international Kim Bo-kyung, but when Moody informed Mackay on July 12 that ‘five of the b******s including the player’ were arriving for talks, the reply from Mackay’s phone was: ‘Fkn chinkys.’ A further message says: ‘Fk it. There’s enough dogs in Cardiff for us all to go around.’
In reference to the prominent football agent, Phil Smith, a text states: ‘Go on, fat Phil. Nothing like a Jew that sees money slipping through his fingers’. The Israeli club, Maccabi Tel Aviv, are also referred to simply as ‘the Jews’.

A football official at another club is referred to as ‘a gay snake’ and ‘the homo’ and someone who is ‘not to be trusted’, while a French player is someone ‘who struck me as an independently minded young homo’.

An exchange with a young player who has a female agent makes reference to a sex act and states: ‘I hope she’s looking after your needs,’ the player is then told. ‘I bet you’d love a bounce on her falsies.’

On August 16, 2012, a list of players proposed by a French agent is forwarded, stating to Mackay that ‘he needs to rename his agency the All Blacks’. A separate text in reference to a list of French players states: ‘Not many white faces amongst that lot but worth considering.’

In a separate exchange a picture entitled ‘Black Monopoly’ is sent, with every square a ‘Go To Jail’ square. Of one African player, it is stated: ‘Doesn’t look like a good cv. And he’s Nigerian.’

    Yes x1000 to Curbs.

Mackay being there today was odd - Carsley has been given the manager's job until the end of the season with Brentford so I doubt he was there for that position...

The FA said that Mackay ought to have an expectation of privacy and would therefore not be punished for these leaked texts.

'Fkn chinkys. Fk it. There's enough dogs in Cardiff for us all to go around.'
On the arrival of South Korean international Kim Bo-Kyung

'Go on, fat Phil. Nothing like a Jew that sees money slipping through his fingers'
    On football agent Phil Smith

'He's a snake, a gay snake. Not to be trusted'
On an official of another club

'Not many white faces amongst that lot but worth considering.'
On a list of potential signings

'I hope she's looking after your needs. I bet you'd love a bounce on her falsies.'
    On a player's female agent

A picture entitled Black Monopoly (where every square was a "Go to Jail" square)
Sent to members of Cardiff's staff

Not really my choice seeing as how we have always been a club trying to be pro actively resisting racism which is something that makes me proud. Mackay wants a job, because if nothing else a failure gets a pay off.
  • He's been gone too long!!!!

He looks a bit young. I'm not sure his performance on FIFA is a good enough recommendations for the job.

Mackay is a no go. Charlton value their community/ kick it out work too highly to appoint a guy who , if not definitively a racist, has such a history with racial comments . He was also horrendous at Wigan

    Exactly what i was thinking.
  • Not read the previous, of course he is not going to be the next manager.

I realise Colin1961/BexleyBoy will be able to put a case forward, but unless I have missed something Malkay(who I happen to think would be a good appointment in normal circumstances) is a Brit and with total experience from this side of the water so he does not qualify.
