CAMPAIGN: Spell it out in Black and White

Which is only a scratch on the surface of why a lot of us are unhappy with the regime - mine goes a lot deeper than the fact he's left us short on the squad side, and his lack of care for it. He takes us for mugs, 'Building a better tomorrow together' .. If anything it's getting a lot worse for fans and we're certainly not all together. We're as divided as a fanbase as we have been in years and it's sad.Bedsaddick said:Of course it's not coincidence. It's exactly what you would expect this current regime to do but all the financial releases in the world won't detract from the fact that our squad isn't good enough once we have injuries and that we are already in the relegation zone.

One day they might realise that the vast majority of our fans are actually sensible adults who pretty much want the same they do - a decent, respected football club with a little bit of ambition. One day, maybe.1

BOYCOTT ALL MATCHES. The only thing Twoshats and his tart will understand is NO MONEY COMING IN. The only real long term hope/ solution for the club is for New Owners to buy us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. We will probably be in Div 3 but until he is gone we are going nowhere.5

So a billionaire has lent Charlton £20m odd (at an interest rate) for which all are grateful. Now find an owner for us with football as an aim please.2

OR just support the team and the club?! The club is in a MUCH better position than it has been in the past, think back to when the pitch flooded if you merely spat on it, the times our home was an overgrown ruin, when we played in front of 4000 fans on a wet night at Sellout, when we were 15 minutes from extinction, is this REALLY as bad as then?3

It also looks like they had a chat and said 'let's show these fools by giving them the accounts. That should shut them up!'Bedsaddick said:Of course it's not coincidence. If that is, in any way, what they've done it is antagonistic and demonstrates, exactly, what the real problem is with this ownership!4 -
Starting to agree with you Tone. The relationship between the owners and the supporters is about to get very tort. This would be the only course of action our delusional owner understands.TonyRidley said:BOYCOTT ALL MATCHES. The only thing Twoshats and his tart will understand is NO MONEY COMING IN. Roland paid for a new pitch, which is nice. I'm not sure why you're bringing up Selhurst though. Who do you think got us back to The Valley?sam3110 said:OR just support the team and the club?! Well done Beds.
Next game will be more I'm sure. I've spoken to the merch guy by where Rick sells VOTV and he is going to be selling black and white scarves next game.2 -
Think they should be all black. I am in mourning for my football club.4

I'm with you HI0

Very little 'black and white' on show in the crowd today2

I think the financial story being in Brentford programme is a coincidence.
Lots of gaps and not much detail but I'll wait for Wyn Grant to give a more competent review.0 -
Saw only a couple0

And some casual racism on page 41 in today's programme about Leroy Ambrose. Best to check old programmes before you re produce it.WSS said:1 -

Whatever floats your boat. That language might have been acceptable 35 years ago, but I can't understand why to reproduce it now.Off_it said:1 -
I agree but ill give the press boys the benefit of the doubt as an oversight rather than a deliberate decision.shirty5 said:

In a reprinted extract from a programme dating back to the 1980/81 season Leroy Ambrose was referred to as "our coloured striker".Addickted2TheReds said:What was said?

Back then we were told to refer to black people as coloured, it was rude to say black. You can't change history.Off_it said:

I know mate, I know. In fact, I remember when calling someone "black" was considered offensive by many and "coloured" was the generally accepted term. "Generally accepted" by who exactly, I don't know, but I guess I must just be "casually racist" too.HantsAddick said:

So must I then. We never questioned what we were told was acceptable, in regard to anything.0
