There is a Belgium connection!0

He's played in Belgium. That's enough for me.0

'Despite Chester not wanting his services,'

5'7'' pah!0

A striker who hasn't scored for 3 years and has had an injury ravaged last few seasons. Sounds like Karel has come up trumps again.7
-
And God help him, being unemployed is surely better than playing for us !3

Just what we need - a small, stroppy scouser0

Striker, 1 goal in his last 44 appearances. Nice.2
-
Is there anyone available who's much better though?
This is a pivotal flaw in not doing your business in the summer because 99% of the players who come up for transfer during the season are not wanted by others for one reason or another.
And if you do want someone half decent, you have to pay way over the odds to get them.2 -

I'd rather have Igor running around with a Belgian bun in each hand.0

Yep a Belgium connection here.
Not the most impressive CV is it?0 -
I would rather have a Belgian Bun. Probably have more movement than Igor.charente addick said:I'd rather have Igor running around with a Belgian bun in each hand.

We're Charlton Athletic not Kidderminster Harriers. We can pay good wages, if Paul Taylor get's a contract with us he is absolutely stealing his wages - you need to deserve a place in a Championship squad.
I could list some players available that would be better prospects but it's a waste of my time. If it's cheap and it has some sort of Belgian link then RD is interested; otherwise we need not waste our breathe.
Ameobi was one of them, he would be an asset to us even as a super sub, wages too high so we missed out on him.6 -
I seen this lad play quite a few times. Very versatile and able to play on either wing without cutting in - he's truly able to cross well with either peg. Gets stuck in and wins more headers than his height would have you believe.1

On 31 October 2008, it was reported that Taylor had tested positive in a random drugs test when at Chester, after traces of cocaine were found in his sample.
Sounds like a good character.
On 14 June 2013, Taylor pleaded guilty to a charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

I've seen him play several times for Rotherham .. he is decent, better than any 'attacking central midfielder' we have at present .. good dribbler, not a goal scorer .. reputed to be a difficult character who fell out with Steve Evans, probably not difficult to do .. all in all .. he'd be worth a punt on a short contract .. we need help !!!!0

Scored a bundle of goals…
…in the Belgian fifth division.
Obviously has all the credentials we need. God give me strength!!!0 -

Would be only the second Taylor to play for us ( sad fact of the day)1

Underwhelmed (again).0

Is this the calibre of player we're looking at to get ourselves out of a hole?
I don't doubt he's got talent, given how many clubs have taken a punt on him, but he's blown so many chances to prove himself. Desperate scouting imo.0 -

He'll be reasonably cheap in terms of wages...The_President said:
