Liverpool move step closer to takeover by Maktoums

"Liverpool are on the verge of a new era after the chairman and majority shareholder, David Moores, granted Dubai International Capital permission to undertake due diligence in anticipation of a £450m takeover of the Anfield club."

So that's another club gone to the money men and out the hands of Britidh ownership.

So far that's Chelsea, Man U, Pompey, Villa, West Ham...this is going to make the EPL a harder league to compete in. Teams like these don't have to worry about a budget, or even financial restraint, we are being slowly but surely squeezed priced out of the league.

    Not to mention that Reading have more dosh than us, as do wigan, blackburn & spudz, to name just 3! Its our turn to go back and slum it v the likes of palarse! Sha la la la la la la la al al la and all that, well that will be smacked straight back into our Boats by the Nigels :-(
