  • Good luck to Karel, say I. No-one knows what will happen. He might have a positive effect on things and if the players like him, I'm hopeful that they will raise their game. It's certainly a tough start, playing 'Boro away. When do you reckon we'll overtake Brighton?
  • His interview will say how honoured he is to be given the chance, that he knows the club and he only left last time because he wanted to manage. That there is enough quality in the squad to climb the table but they are already looking to recruit in January.

Not moaning but these things all follow a similar pattern at any club.
  • I'd like to think Bertje was correct after today.
  • He pulled a performance and a win out of the hat.
Let's credit him for that at least.
We are all screaming for an experienced manager that knows the championship, but what if Karol has got something after all.
Who knows whether today was a game changer or a flash in the pan

Winning one game of football is proof of nothing. This is a long, demanding and very physical season at this level in the toughest environment in European league football. As well as club's complete lack of leadership and patience in this greedy modern era, the gullible nature of fans who buy into the second comings of managers and players despite their clear lack of true ability and experience is probably a key contributing factor to why longevity of football managers is virtually non-existent.

We've been here three times already now, when are we going to learn?
  • From BBC Sport website:

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde: "It was a nice experience and a fantastic atmosphere. It was a tough game. I can be very happy with my team today, I saw smiles on their faces.

Wtf is it with these foreign managers? Are they reading fro the same script, or are they giving their players LSD?
  • Because they're happy.... clap along now!
