Doesn't happen really does it?
Plenty of "smoke and fire" for Poyet, Wilson, Wiggins, Morrison, Gomez, Kermy, Hamer, Stephens etc etc but apart from, the ridiculous "pre signing of new contract" rumour that Man Utd were interested in Fox, I can't think of too many that never came to fruition.
It does seem that we don't have too many sought after players but when we are (or they've had enough of this regime) they do invariably leave - probably because RD doesn't want to either meet the player's demands or is only too keen for the funds.
So, come January, it will be "interesting" to see if there are any "rumours" about the likes of JBG, Henderson, Lookman, Cousins, Bauer and possibly one or two others. Let's hope not because the writing might be on the wall if there are.
