Have to give him huge credit with this.

Sounds very good, no real excuses about anything and an honest assessment of a lot of things at the moment.

    Pards Out.

    I agree.

He's still definately the best man for the job, irrespective of what division we are in next season.

I thought Bruce said the other week that if Wigan stay up they are obligated to sign Bent.

The really irritating hting is he has got talent, he has never shown it for us, but he has for Wigan. Ability wise he is head and shoulders above Iwelumo and Gray, but its big man attitude that seems to be his problem, epitomised by the way he would sink to the floor holding his ankle, thigh whatever during the run in last season. If you go back to the goal that Iwelumo scored against West Brom at their place earleir this season, Iwelumo was hobbling on one leg (not sure yo can hobble on two or no legs), but still got in a position to score, if it had been Bent he would have been in the centrre circle pointing to the becnh and then at his ankle. Shame he could have done a job for us but the only scoring he has ever done while with us has been with Danielle Lloyd.

He has scored the same amount of goals for us this season as Andy Gray, Leroy Lita and Jerome Thomas combined....

OK sorry to put my somewhat 'negative' view here but I believe in being realistic.

I don't accept the Reid comments, if we were so broke why buy Gray? Its like buying a second car then moaning that the bank makes you sell your first one. If it was so forced why wait till the end of the window? Why put a financial/squad plan in place then buckle at the crucial moment. It just doesn't add up. There are always risks, plus Reid was arguably always going to get us a decent price later on with so much cash rolling about in the Prem.

Marcus Bent comments are no doubt frustration that everyone involved with the club feel, but hey thats business, if he was that good another prem club would 'of' come in for him right?? Wigan are completely within their rights just as we were with Gray from Burnley. And again why buy Gray if that was such a problem?? The reality on Bent is that he's been off our wages, and was until he went there a total waste of space and inflated salary so getting a fee for him at all is actually a bonus if it happens.

As for his comments about promotion, I accept he's in a difficult situation losing two of his best players who probably would 'of' got us promoted, and is therefore putting a realistic spin on it about upheaval. In black and white, he and the board and ourselves in reality know that losing probably your two best players in the areas we are weak, (supply and centre defence) is going to weaken your chances of a swift return.

His 'realistic' approach didn't seem to be in evidence at the start of the season, nor do I feel it is the reality of the situation. Who in our squad is really gonna make a difference next year?? On top of that we are likely to lose Thomas and a good portion of the loaness, while being overloaded with underperforming forwards. He still doesn't accept that his questionable purchasing or the lack of it in some areas might have something to do with the problems e.g. lack of creative delivery, playing non specialists out of position like Semedo. The truer reality of our situation Ifeel is that without some significant investment in the right players we are now in terms of finances and squad, an average midtable championship team.

Losing money in the Premiership or making money in the Championship I think it might boil down to.

"Those results are as much my fault as the players, the physio, the tea lady and everybody. We all share responsibility and we all share it when we win as well."

This must be biggest load of horsedung to come out of his mouth so far..

I bet the tea lady is wondering where here million pound salary and win bonuses are, and when she gets to do the next team selection?

Pete, I think they would have sold Reid in the summer had the right offer been on the table, finances seem to be the overriding priority, and there's not necessarily anything wrong with that. Clearly promotion isn't a very high priority, its more of a nice to have, the problem is the season ticket offer and other things made people think other wise.

I agree that Reid would of been off in the summer if an offer came in. i feel sorry for pards when he clearly wanted Reid to stay but the club wanted to rid of him as his is injury prone as its not my money and I really shouldnt complain but hey ho !! The statement by Pards saying that people would of been made redudant if Reid stayed and the club didnt go up should make everyone worried. But not much has been said about this remark.

Its a ridiculous comment to make, and I don't believe the club would have started out at the start of the season with that being a possibility, but perhaps he meant if we had upped his wages.

Pards for PM......geez he should be in politics.....really begining to dislike this bloke. (but I hasten to add, I dont think sacking him will solve much). Prepare for another massive change around in playing staff this summer lads and then when in December it isnt going too well, be prepared for the rebuilding, time to gel drivel. I think the tea lady should pick the team, she couldnt do much worse at the moment.
