just stick to the Say It In Black and White until you get a cohesive following and remove the abusive chants, disassociate yourselves from this Joe like you did this week asking for the chants not to take place ,
it must be policed by those in attendance of the protest ,
I can only hope that it was teenagers and kids singing those chants
if you don't get this correct any protest you do will fail going forward the time is now to step back, form the objectives and unite the remaining fan base low turn out protests and abusive chants weaken the argument strengthen the very same people you protest against .5 -

They certainly were not kids . Mainly in their twenties but quite a few middle aged blokes amongst them. Old enough to know better.0

I protested but was disappointed with the turn out. I asked people who I sit next to in the ground and they didn't protest as they see no point, it wont have any effect etc. Apathy. I don't think some of the chants helped our cause at all today.
And another thing! I'm sick of bloody kids being invited to the Valley. They sit just in front of me and don't watch the match, just keep going in and out and wont sit still. Drives me feckin mad. that's why I never had any. Thank god for contraception.6 -

Kids don't sit still. It's in their nature. They are kids. We are top heavy with pensioners at Charlton as it is. Looking at the people in the east stand today I would think the next thing will be Stanna stair lifts to get then to their seats.Arsenetatters said:

Agree with this. Just worried that the chants will put others off. I want the protests to continue and will keep going to them but I was expecting more people today. I hate to think they will stop because I don't know where to go from there. Am guessing boycotting would be the next step but I just can't do thatredman said:People moaning about the protests. I wouldn't call it fickle. The protest for the Bolton game will show what next season may look like. Well under 10,000 in attendance and the stadium two-thirds empty. No atmosphere and we will be able to gear the players swearing at one another.0

No way can I support a poorly organised (IMO) & poorly disciplined demo. Timing is everything.
Went along with my black & white scarf, I'm in the N/W corner, only saw 1 other so that's disappointing. But I still believe turning up with black & white is the way to go on a regular basis. Keep any demo's for an occasional thing.2 -

The numbers of people protesting were a lot lower this time round, Katrien will no doubt be pleased about that, and think the storms over with.
The sad truth is that instead of protesting , people have just stopped coming to the games , which will show in the match day income, we've gone from being Charlton Athletic to Charlton Apathetic.8 - Sponsored links:

Turned up today with my boy and his friend (and the ex, I bought an extra ticket on top of our season tickets to come today)
The boys were great, they watched all the game, they shouted louder than 90% of the fans near us, some but not all their comments were better analysis than I heard elsewhere.
Next season I'm going to by season tickets closer to the covered end because I'm fed up not being able to get the chants.
I have a red and white and a white and black scarf and I wear both.5 -

Thank god I wasn't there for that chant. I would have probably missed the game through punching my teams' supporters that's f***ing disgusting1

Are we talking about 1-2 youngsters thinking they are being funny with that chant, and it not taking off in anyway, or are we talking about about a large group of people chanting it? Personally would be very surprised if the latter, and if it is the former than its really not worth the headlines.
This always Had a risk of flopping I thought. It's easy for wind ups / anons to post on Twitter 'car park 2.30 Saturday' midweek and start the rumour chain going, but unless you have actual real people involved or some degree of attempted organisation trying to drive something, there is always that nagging doubt.
Whether it was 30 people or 300 or 3,000, sounds like Katrien was once again purposely standing in front of the glass window, laughing away with Leeds delegates, and sticking the proverbial two fingers up to Charlton fans.3
