    Being nice and laid back eventually becomes despised for not having any get up and go.
    Being laugh a minute eventually becomes despised for never taking things seriously.

    Whatever she sees in him, and forgives, I predict will not be forgiven for very long.
    We are only seeing one side but he strikes me as a deeply unpleasant character, and I reckon he would not like to be treated the way he treats her.
