i think those protesting should seperate sport from politics let sportsman do what they are payed for and let goverment officals sort out the other issues

It's the organisers that need to separate sport from politics, not the protesters. The only reason any country puts in for the Olympics is for political gain. The only reason there is a torch procession is because the nazis invented it in 1936 to show to the world that they were good eggs. The only reason that the procession has carried on is to make the organisers from each country look good. The procession is not sport it is a self-grandising carnival and is a perfectly legitamate target for protesters. China only wants the Olympics so that it can look good in the eyes of the world - it is back firing on them big time.

Of course they want to get on telly to make a point just like Wen Jiabao, Liu Peng and Liu Qi. They are not as bad as the paddy priest by any stretch of the imagination. He was an idiot who stole someones dreams. The protesters are simply using a politically motivated procession to highlight the injustices of the organising nation. Good on 'em!0 -
