Who's turn to go off early today? My money is on Henderson and Vaz Te.

It's getting ridiculous 7 players missing today ..... Have we for one game this season fielded our strongest team ??

Forget managers forget owners we are second from bottom for one reason and that's our injury record this season ....full fit squad and we should have been pushing for play offs

Nobody can deny that we've had a lot of injuries but the championship is a tough league and a long season. What you actually mean is if we'd had a fully fit team every week then we'd be pushing for the play offs. Forget fully fit 'squad', because as the season has progressed it's become plainly obvious that we don't have much of a squad. We have a decent team, a couple of suitable back up players.........plus a load of kids.

Sarr and Makienok. That would mess us up big time!

If you mean leaving the game early? I'd say about 5,000 Charlton fans

Six Prem clubs have 7 or more injuries: http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php

Seven injuries is hardly unusual. With a small squad you're more likely to use players that aren't fully fit, which can lead to more injuries.

Don't care if we had a fully fit 25-man squad ... if they aint good enough, they aint good enough... and guess what? They AINTGOOD ENOUGH! Enough already!
(Yeah, I know; probably go out and win 4-0 today!)

To be honest having some of our players fully fit is more of a liability than having them injured. If we could remove Naby Sarr's achilles and put it into Kashi's leg it would be the bloke's greatest contribution in a Charlton shirt
  • Throwing a sicky or going into hiding? Who can blame them. There's probably a better atmosphere in the treatment room than the first team.

I didn't think cuckoos appeared till March.

Can't really forget owners or (interim) managers though can we.
If the owner invested in a decent sized, Championship quality squad, injuries wouldn't be so much of an issue.

Hope it's not a bad one. The one shining light of a thoroughly depressing time.

Chris Solly and Jordan Cousins picked up injuries on Tuesday night and Riga has provided a full fitness update.

He said: “With our two players injured on Tuesday, Jordan and Chris, we are not sure that they can be part of the next game.

“We make daily assessments to work out the possibilities but unfortunately I’m not sure that we can have them both for the next game.

“Patrick Bauer, Ahmed Kashi and Johnnie Jackson are working individually. Alou Diarra trained with us today. Alou got an infection in his toe, so he cannot train all of the time but today he was part of the session.

Chris was playing centre mid on Tuesday wasn't he? I'm having a bit of trouble working out a potential team/formation if Cousins, Jacko and Solly are all out, whilst Lennon is suspended.

Something like this perhaps? 3 at the back, with Motta and Bergdich essentially playing as Wingbacks and Poyet with ?????? in the centre?
    ----- Lookman - Makienok -----
    ------------ JBG -------------
    ------- ???????, Poyet -------
    - Bergdich --------- Motta -
    ---- Johnson - Tex - Sarr ----
Would be decent enough going forward with 5 in the midfield, whilst defensively... well.. the best we can be with Johnson and Sarr FFS!

    Henderson
    Motta Fanni Teixeira Johnson Fox
    Ba Poyet
    JBG
    Makienok Lookman

Pope Young Sarr Charles-Cook Reza Harriott Bergdich on the bench

Failing that play Fox at centre back and Young or Bergdich as left wing back with Fanni on the bench

Ba! I knew we had another CM; plus I like the fact that your XI takes Sarr out of the defence.
