While these morons in charge the attendances will continue to drop... We have a madmen for an owner, a CEO who hasnt a clue, a manger who has no knowledge, experience, or ability, and the club is now a strange experiment...

No one is going to buy into that...
  • I agree that this is a fantastic video. Maybe we will become like John Lewis and we can wait for the unveiling of the half season ticket video each year.

One thing I would point out though, and I'm reluctant to criticise it, it woul appear that we are sons, daughters, dads, husbands, wives, grandparents and friends. Are Mums not allowed to come?

If people (like me) couldn't find a good enough reason to buy a season ticket at the start of the season, there certainly hasn't been any positive changes that are going to convince us (me) now. Quite the opposite in fact.
  • On 1:56 they've got a bloke yawning in slow motion.

Can't be accused of false advertising there

    Deadline extended.

With luck they will be able to add to the 3 (three) they have already sold.

    Great job Tony Keohone.
  • I bought one for my gf and they threw in a ticket for the Wolves game for free.
    She now hates me.

It's easy just to tell her you don't want to see her anymore. No need to be so cruel to the poor woman.

Got to laugh. Looks they posted this early - says posted 1 Jan 2016 - and even more crazily, it says at the end the offer ends on Friday 11 December!

Is there no-one left to check a few basic facts these days?

Target was 500 half season tickets sold.

Seems Tony is going to have a bit of explaining to do.

To be fair, I think that sales figure needs to be updated. A total of four half season tickets have been owned up to on here!

Wow, steady on now, don't go over the top.
  • I'm constantly surprised that Pinocchio has the wit and intelligence to put her clothes on in the right order every morning.

I absolute loathe everything about her.

However, when she does finally exit the Valley, I will offer to personally escort her onto her train at St .Pancras Station, buy her a packet of jelly babies and give her my best two finger salute as the train pulls out.

Yeah, I was just being silly :)

It is a horrific sales disaster though, they've normally shifted hundreds by now in any other year haven't they?

That's the thing - it's not a particularly big earner in any year. I'd have to check, but we maybe added 300 in 2011/12. That would be exceptional. The tickets are worth about £100 on average to the club net of VAT. For that reason you wouldn't devote a lot of marketing spend in the current scenario.

Remember to buy the jelly babies before you get to St Pancras, the WH Smith there is phenomenally expensive and I wouldn't spend *that* much money on her.

Good ...One piece of accountability he can't wriggle out of.
  • I find this is very sad and get no satisfaction from the clubs current situation. I was contacted a couple of weeks ago regarding a half year ticket. I was asked why I haven't bought and I told the woman the reasons why I didn't have a season ticket and why I wouldn't be buying a half season ticket. She didn't didn't seem surprised, concerned or bothered that someone who has been a long time season ticket holder can't be arsed anymore, but then I doubt the person on the other end of the line shares any of my feelings for Charlton.
I don't actually lay the blame all on KM, although she has done little to engage with us supporters, she does what's she's told, it's Roland I despise. He calls the shots and gets his staff to implement his crazy ideas, others take the abuse while he gets the quiet life. But that's the way he runs his empire and it's clear he couldn't give a toss about us, Charlton and our history.
It's not that we are not holding our own in this league for me its the removal of ambition to be more than we are that has ended my enjoyment of all things Charlton. All I hope for is; there is a Charlton when this mobs time is over.

I haven't been contacted once since I chose not to renew in the summer, not that it would have made any difference.

Same here. i didn't renew the 4 that my household had. One of my children receive communication the post regarding renewal but nothing for the other 3 of us.

Again though, as you say, it wouldn't have made a difference.

  • Could I just have the first half of the season and a refund on the second.......... go on you know it makes sense.

The best way to boost sales would be to win games and play sparkling football.....oh well the sales will never pick up.

She's obviously not familiar with that old English adage of " flogging a dead horse".

Then again, it might be worth educating RD in preparation when the time arrives for him to try to "flog a dead Club ".
