yeah I heard that.....was it just me or did anyone else think that the goal apart, he was the worst player on the pitch last night, his defending is shocking at best !.

agree about Kish and Hughes, both looked up for it last night - Hughes' tackle was never a booking in a million years !!, Reid was class and I pray he can stay fit........anyone else think D Bent looks like he's carrying a injury ?

See supporters and these type of forums get criticised for being overtly negative towards players, yet Hughes, who has come in for severe stick in the past, had a good game last night and really looked liked he'd upped his desire, and every single person comments on it.

    It works both ways.
  • Eltham - that tackle was the best tackle i think i've seen Hughes make in all his time at the club. Went in hard, got the ball and came away with it, yet got booked.

Yep, credit is due for Hughes. Done alright last night. Was a booking I think though, cant go into a tackle studs up these days.

Great all round battling performance from the lads last night.

As Elk stood over the ball the bloke behind said,"we're watching a £40 million pound free kick here", he might well be right come May.

Bent is carrying an injury to an ankle, Reed has said so. But we have no other striker so its the strap the ankle and get out there and die for the club time, and he does it. I think we should recall Walker; if he proves half decent we could then rest Darren now and then to let the ankle recover.

Wasn't studs up, was a straight forward block tackle with both feet on the ground. The only reason it was given as a foul and he got booked is because Pederson rolled around on the floor.

Foy realised his mistake in booking Hughes as soon as Pedersen got up and ran at speed onto a through ball 10 seconds later.

So he evened things up by booking Lucas Neill about two minutes later for a nothing challenge.
