Stick that in your Belgian Buns Roland.2 -
When we think we have reached a suitable number we might want to 'present' the petition to Roland and the representatives of his political project in Belgium, Vivant.
Just been on their website and saw one of their key policies is 'direct democracy'. This is a translation of what they say that means
"The referendum is a good instrument to express the will of the people. It is important that the outcome of such a referendum is binding: if that is not the case, it is merely a costly survey on opinions, which still can be ignored. Another very important advantage is that the organization of referenda cranking the debate. They give rise to the creation and dissemination of information, from all angles and positions.
What if we implement the binding referendum on popular initiative?
There will be real, for direct democracy. The power shifts again from the extended political parties to the public.
The gap between politics and citizens will finally be reduced, since there is reintroduced a close, ongoing dialogue.
Referendums bring more articulate, better informed and engaged citizens. And thus indirectly to a better quality of democracy.
The political work is not so much running to power conservation and conservatism, but more in line with current social issues. It is therefore more efficient.
There will be a learning process. Citizens will obviously make bad decisions. But the link between their choices and the outcome and the outcome of those choices becomes clearer."2 -

So Douchebag's treatment of Charlton Athletic and the Charlton fans, is the polar opposite of his key poitical policies.
Surely another angle for the Trust/press/b&w campaign etc etc.
Especially, get this into the Belgian press, for those that have contacts.0 -
Almost 3000 when I just signed it now. 3000 as 2% means we have 150,000 fans8
