I'm definitely a Cat man. Two boys (Kevin and Perry) both from the same litter and just over 2 years old. I'm really not a dog fan, I was attacked when i was 3 and had my 4 front teeth knocked out. It's only been the last 5 years I can really be in a room with them. Are you a Dog or Cat Person? Any good pet names that you've given or know?
Best one I came across was my mates Dog called Deefa as in D for Dog! I thought it was genius anyway!

    Before AFKA does it.

Me dog all day long. Cats just don't get them. bloody things serve no purpose other than for dogs to chase.

I've only had a hamster as a pet when I was about 15 despite putting dog on the top of my birthday and christmas lists since I was about 5.
like all animals, and when we own a house and spend more time at home I am going to fill my house with the pets that no one wants. the old, ugly, 3 legged, 1 eye, cats, dogs, unwanted greyhounds etc!

My mum's got a 3 legged cat, was attacked by the old neighbours dog and lost a leg as the result! SE10 says Cats are sly, its the intelligence of them to be sly that I quite respect!

Cats. I don't mind dogs, but they are too much hassle.

Cats for me (although I do like dogs)

My missus named out cats (Bumper & Bonnet) she insists on naming any pets, even the fish. A few examples in our pond are: Judy (the tench) Barbara, Bert, Bling (because it's gold!) Ralph, Bob.

My Mum has a Blackbird inher back garden(feathered type) she calls it Fred. Fred must be 45 years old now !!

I once had a tortoise called George.

One of my Uncles (RIP) used to let us play with these rabbits in his garden when we were kids. I couldnt work out why he didnt know their names ? It never occured to me thats what we would be eating on Saturday and he was breeding em for the pot !

Cats definitely, we rescued Loulou and Percy from a lovely lady working for the Cats Protection League in Charlton about 5 years ago . Bundles of joy although not so much in the middle of the night when they bring in dead and sometimes LIVE mice to play with. Thankfully being a girl i get my hubbie to deal with it, setting womens rights back years i know but what the hell!!

I have always had Cats, and can talk about them ad nauseum given half the chance. Shame i cannot add my photos

Both, although cats are easier to deal with, they can pretty much look after themselves.

Dogs are great to get you out the house - they need walking twice a day at least.

Cats are more self-sufficient and easier to look after.

    was it a boxer?

    anyway, cats for me.
i do like dogs, but until 1 is bred that keeps away rats and mice, doesn't need taking for walkies, has some form of toilet manners, and when wet, doesn't smell of .... well.... wet dog, i'll prefer cats.

My Mum's two cats were called Magic and Mushroom, she must have been into some shady stuff in her youth is all I can say! Sadly Mushroom decided to headbutt a car and came out worse, so only Magic now, with his 3 little legs he does look pathetic, bless him!

On a similar thread, I read somewhere that to get your porn name you add your mothers maiden name to your first pets name.

    Mine would be Fluffy Perry

And combined with another thread you get a porn title of...

    "Fluffy the Vamp-pile Slayer"

Becks lol - what staff does like other dogs. I've yet to meet one. Used to have two of the little beauties - the bitch was placid as hell - but the boy evil towards other dogs. My youngest used to ride him and he never batted an eyelid.

Well, I've only had cats, as being at work all day they can fend for themselves,

Present cat family member is orange with white chest & socks and goes by the name of Psycho.
He lives up to his name alright - my sweet boy child calls him alternatively Psychomaniac or Psychokiller, depending on his latest escapade.

Down at my GF's place, she's got an ancient grandad dog, collie/alsation cross called incongrously Cougar.
He was a rescue dog by the the name of Kruger but her kids always pronounced it Cougar, so he's now usually called Coogs or Cog-dog.

Mate of mine has got a dog called Dyson.
Why Dyson, I asked him? ........"Just hoovers everything up".
  • Dont like dogs but do have a soft spot for pussy.

Got 2 dogs, 2 lap dogs, 2 cats a parrot and a pond full of fish. Favourite is Leonberger dog except it nearly bit off the leg of one of the cats who dived into his food bowl. Vet patched it up with wires and she's immobilised in a cage for 9 weeks.

he was great with other dogs until he turned 1,he's ok with dogs he's known since a pup and will run away from a couple of yorkshire terriers but anything new christ he's a nightmare.I gutted really because i used to love taking him out for long walks and letting him off the lead.I wouldn't chance it now occasionally i go over the golf club at dusk and let him have a run.

dogs bite me, fact, been done 3 times!

cats just freak me out, as do all pets really. Although my mums cat frank, what a ledge he is, he is 10 so apart from the last year and a bit i always lived with him, when me and my mrs go to my Ma's house he always comes and flirts with us, he loves mrs mcs, absolutely hated my previous mrs mcs, she always siad he hated her and would try to paw punch her, so one day late at night i watched when she went toilet, there he is, frank, he didnt know i was watching and he proper attacked her legs, whilst trying not to pee myslef with laughter i had to show her that i was sorry for not believing her for 3 years haha
  • Love both cats and dogs (cats more probably) - would have a dog but can't see it's a good thing leaving a dog 8-10 hours 5 days a week. Here's a picture of my cat Ray - He's a nutter:
