Would rather not see Tony watt as the protest player, he's a cock. Would much prefer someone who was just awful instead. They need to have played a minimum amount of games too don't they? Makes it even more difficult.

I won't be voting for anyone this year. Don't believe in rewarding failure on this scale. I accept for some of you it's still important to recognise the efforts of those they might believe have put a shift in. I also know it's important to people like FF who have dedicated a number of years to it re: organising the player of the year dinner etc.

But I really don't think anyone deserves to be walking away from this season with any sort of award. I actually believe the players would be quite embarrassed by accepting an award as well. I would imagine the likes of Solly, Jackson and Cousins are ashamed of how this season has turned out.

It will be interesting to see the turnout for this year
  • Maybe just replace the Player of the Year awards with a Bothered Playing this Year one?
  • My vote has already been cast . . . the exit!

Unless a number of us fans do support the POTY do, then we will give KM just the excuse she needs to cancel it. Once it's gone it's gone. Luckily, a few of us still did attned the BTTV do, so that will hopefully continue. We can't demand our Charlton back if we don't support events that have happened, and been enjoyed, for many years. KM doesn't care about our history, I thought we fans did.

I'd probably vote for Solly, he hasn't been at his best, but despite carrying long term injuries has always given 100%.

Can any one actualy see a player of the year diner/presentation this season. Not just how bad the squad is but you will have to have club management there including the senior management. Would you want to socialise with this lot at the moment.

Do not worry about the POTY; how are we going to come up with two runner ups.
It has been that bad, the person that comes third has more and likely been barracked.

  • Henderson, just for having the bollocks to talk to the press when his coward manager sat on the bus.
  • Johnnie Jackson for the years of Service he's given the club

This hands down... Fair enough if people dont want to vote or want to take the piss and make a mockery of votes yet dont start moaning when there isnt another POTY dinner. KM has proven that she doesnt give a shit in stopping events / traditions

I have said for ages I would vote for Rhys Williams as it would sum up the pointless signings made by the regime, however I may now vote for Fanni.

Disagree - its about protesting against the club owners/CEO - if the Witch does cancel it, then once they have gone the new owners can reinstate it.

I get where you're coming from FA but if that's the case we should just organise a separate night for him, and him alone. I genuinely believe none of the should take any award or recognition from this season, even Jackson

Rod Fanni - purely to see his name on the board in Bartrams (although I've not been in there for so long it the board might not be in there any more)
  • Cousins has been utter garbage all season how anyone can even think about voting for him. I don't get all this Jordan cousins is our best player. He's league 1 at best and part of the problem we have with such a bad squad. Every time he gets the ball he gives it away. Running around doesn't make you a good player.
Yes he's Charlton through and through but all that does is make the fans look through rose tinted glasses

Not disagreeing with you at all. He sounds a bit like the rest of the team, in terms of giving the ball away (:

Are we getting new owners within the next couple of years?

The club don't organise this event... the likes of @Fanny Fanackapan do, so to protest against POTY is putting down the hard work and effort they put in.

If you want to protest then go and do it just somewhere else, just dont rain on something that an actual fan works so hard for

sorry mate I don't agree. he does lose the ball a fair bit but he then wins it back a fair bit an all. as Brian Clough used to say I don't mind if the player gets caught in possession or has a wild shot on goal as long as he puts into every game all that he can. Which Jordan does. and not just that he is also got some talent. every time he's not in the side we miss him.

He has played a ridiculous amount of games in the championship these last three seasons for a young player (now aged 21) he has given his all and because we have such dross in the team he plays when ill or recovering from injury. and also because we have such dross in the team he is expected to do even more.
