The last few years seem to have been a journey towards a long slow painful death for Charlton Athletic. I have no idea what effect today's protests will have on reversing the decline given that I no longer have a clue what the owner wants.
We are effectively fighting an almost invisible enemy who nobody seems to understand.
I feel massive sadness at the situation and I desperately hope there is a happy ending.

Interesting that before a ball had been miskicked at the start of the Season, the Bookies had us as second favorites to be Relegated. Clever people or did Roland have a few bob on that to happen?.0

I do agree that we can't be sure the result of today's protests but
Apathy and people working long hours was the reason that the shocking regime under the Glikstens family, lasted right up to 1982.
No excuse for apathy now.

I will be devastated if this b****** destroys our club - not sure what will move him on. There seems no sensible explanation for his behaviour.

I am well up for today, but I'm not convinced that the outcome either way will be so pronounced. This is just one battle in a long war of attrition. Our most visible and largest battle to date, but still one of many nonetheless. We shouldn't expect Roly to capitulate immediately as the result of one televised protest. Today is about upping the ante, it's about showing the world that we are serious, it's about sharpening the picture to help the myopic money-lender see that he's got things completely and irrevocably wrong. We need to remember that just because the regime doesn't disappear immediately doesn't mean that we haven't sown more seeds of doubt in Roly's addled brain. And let's face it, we are unlikely to see immediate results. Even if today persuaded the Belgian on to go, he's unlikely to make any public pronouncements about it, his style is to play things closer to his chest.
