iOS 9.3 Update Issues

Is anyone else suffering with the latest iOS 9.3 issues?

Having real trouble using web links from Safari and email on my phone and iPad after the latest update.

Looks like Apple really ballsed this one up!

Ah, knew I should resist the persistent and irritating reminders to upgrade. This seems to happen every time nowadays.

The pornhub link was stuck on on the train the other day. Was panicking for a moment.

My god it's annoying. Particularly when you have a phone that doesn't have the processing power to handle the update, even when it isn't riddled with bugs.

I'm sure someone was suing Apple over this. Shame it hasn't had a knock on effect for the rest of us.

Seems to be a real mixed bag of people affected.
I'm getting the web links problem on iPad Air2 and iPhone 6s.

First time i've really had issues with iOS updates.

Seems that Apple are aware and are working on a "fix"

Yep safari's borked at the moment. Typical with Apple, I always tend to hold off a month or so so everything's fixed by then usually.

The internet is a wonderful thing but has made so many developers lazy and/or the suits who push deadlines pull them forward and just shrug their shoulders and say "we'll fix it later" if there are any massive issues.

OK on iMac but had big problems with iPad Air 2 - fortunately I am getting the new iPad Pro so has not been as big a problem as it could have been.
  • Yep, I'm having a lot of problems with iPhone6. Very dull.
  • Thought I'd point out that I'm having no issues with my Samsung Galaxy at the moment :)

    Hopefully not too long.

I'm using Mercury browser instead of Safari - but doesn't fix the issue of accessing links from email etc.
  • I'm getting the same problems with links and Safari!

It has messed up Chrome and Safari on my Ipad. Disabling javascript solves some, but not all issues.

Disabling javascript has fixed it for me. Some websites are not fully functional but most are. Will have to do while they fix it.

Never update in the first two weks

Or even weeks. Anyone who takes the risk of updating when new software is first released can generally count themselves lucky if they don't have a problem. It doesn't matter if it's Windows, iOS, Mac OS X, Android, or any programme you care mention, hold off until the initial problems have been identified. Furthermore, if you can, have a rollback in place so go back to the position you were at before doing the upgrade.

I can't believe I've found someone who actually bought an iPad Pro
  • yep, as others have mentioned it is java script that seems to be the main issue.
I updated to El Capitan, which on my 4 year mac book pro was not very easy, (whatever happened to plug and go, been a bit sticky with safari, but a lot faster. Downloaded Crome for the first time and seems to be a lot better. Designer friend says that 'Adobe illustrator' does not work unless you update to the newest version of 'Java script, apparently a Microsoft product?..... and Apple just developed this without bothering to test it with Adobe, or so he was told.

Never one to rush to update, especially on 'vintage equipment' as the Apple shop describe my stuff.
Amazed that Apple keep releasing updates, surely this should only need to be done 2-3 times a year.

Seems to be a common complaint on the mac forums, about not properly fixing bugs with updates.

I am going to leave well alone, have to put up with a slow mac i guess........

I never had an issue with my 9.3 update and it's bizarre that this kind of bug wasn't picked up on throughout the six or seven public beta tests.

Did the update on my iPhone 5s yesterday. Not only is it working fine, it has somehow freed up a lot of memory which was previously always close to full. So I'm quite happy with 9.3.1.
