    The white elephant, opened by Princess Margaret, which never functioned properly and was soon scrapped .
    I wonder how much it cost ?

    Apparently £100,000 to build in 1961 and £60,000 to demolish it in 1962.

    and I always thought the Greenwich Tent was a waste of money

    So in todays money about 1.5 million to build and just under 1 million to demolish
