been appointed for days now and we've read a lot about what he's going to do but what has he actually done ?

    Nothing. Spent all his time doing press interviews saying how wonderful he is, checking that Varney is moving his stuff out of his corner office quickly enough and getting Mick Everitt to put up his Malcolm McDonald signed pictures.

    Not signed one player yet. All the other clubs have signed dozens. Bet we are leaving it all to the last minute as usual.

    Why doesn't Waggott get Keith Peacock in to advise him which players to get. Sure Pardew won't mind or feel sidetracked.

    Bloody hell, he moans at others for not knowing the names of the stands and he doesn't even know how to spell the chief executive's name !

    Does anyone else remember the film Whisky Galore? I keep thinking of Sergeant Waggott...

    (Actually I've just checked and it was Captain Waggett...so not quite!)

    Yes, great film, I have a box set of the Ealing Studio films and that's one of the best. Captain Waggott I think.

    Can you all please use the correct name for the New Chief Exec and refer to him as 'Waggy' in future on all Threads.
