Imagine the feeling. You’ve been away for ten days or so, living the good life, without a care in the world.

And then, suddenly, it’s over. You’re pitched straight back into the humdrum reality of everyday life. You have to listen to the ungrateful whining of ignorant customers, unable or willing to grasp the great vision being put in place for their future by the supreme leader.

Yes, Charlton chief executive Katrien Meire has been away since last midweek on urgent business, topping up her suntan in Dubai, where the average temperature is 30 degrees centigrade at this time of year.

So don’t be glum, Katrien. The Coalition Against Roland Duchatelet (CARD) is here to help.

We can’t promise that there’ll be much sun in SE7 on Saturday. But we’re more than willing to turn up the heat.

We’re planning a great big protest party with our old pals from Brighton & Hove Albion next Saturday, April 23rd, with fun and games for all the family.

But first, to help you chase away those holiday blues, we’re bringing a little bit of Dubai to the suburban streets of London SE7 for the game with Derby County. It’s going to be like your holiday never ended. Or started.

So come and join us, Charlton fans, for a beach party at The Valley, this Saturday from 1.30pm. We’re even giving most of our volunteers the day off, because after all if Katrien can have a holiday during the season why shouldn’t they? But stand by for a busy day against Brighton.

CARD is calling on supporters to make the club pay for its actions by boycotting all commercial activities at tomorrow’s match against Derby County.

Instead, fans are being urged to spend money on refreshments and merchandise before they get to the stadium with the dozens of excellent SE7 businesses around The Valley.

Throughout this week, CARD has been talking to local pubs, takeaways, newsagents and more, and encouraging them to display special endorsement posters in the windows of their stores.

Now it’s your turn. We want you to use those local companies prior to the Derby game. We want you tell the shopkeepers and till operators why you are spending money in their stores. And we want you to share and promote those local businesses on social media using the hashtag #cafcboycott.

Unlike Roland Duchatelet’s current regime, these local businesses are here for Charlton supporters for the long term. We’re asking you to support them, and in the process hit the regime financially and put pressure on its relationships with business partners.

Please note that although there are mobile refreshment and merchandise units in Harvey Gardens and Ransom Walk, these are not controlled by the club and are therefore not included in this protest. Indeed, CARD hoodies, sweatshirts and T-shirts are still available – and very reasonably priced! - from the Ransom Walk stall.

Of course, the club’s biggest commercial activity tomorrow is the season-ticket deadline, and CARD is reiterating its message to supporters not to renew their seat for next season, or at the very least delay renewing until July, to pile financial pressure on the regime. Our full season-ticket explanation can be read here. LINK

In addition to the commercial boycott, we have already announced our plans to turn up the heat on chief executive Katrien Meire after she returns from 10 days sunning herself in Dubai – a holiday decision that was met with anger by Charlton staff who were forced to continue the club’s preparations for its imminent relegation to League One in her absence.

We’re planning a beach party at The Valley from 1.30pm, [LINK] so come along and join the fun. We’ve even given most of our volunteers the day off ahead of a big protest party before the next match against Brighton & Hove Albion on April 23rd.

There will be no flash 12pm announcement tomorrow – but that’s not the end of our plans. So keep your eye out for several other protests as we continue our campaign to remove our incompetent owner…

At Lyon last night. It won't take five minutes to clear this lot up at The Valley

That keeper looks a bit stressed. Needs a stress ball to calm him down.

Second time I noticed that apparently PL54 has left a comment on a thread, but nothing appears.

I know he's a WUM and a bit of a prat, but suppressing his (albeit ridiculous) comments seems OTT.

Love the boycott and getting local businesses involved. Great thinking once again by CARD.

Is there a post match protest in the car park today?

Virtually every thread on the front page at the moment is showing the most recent comment as being by PL54, but none of the comments are actually visible on the thread. I'm wondering if they possibly need to be pre-approved before they're shown?
