Two years ago I was at this dinner and there is a photo of me smiling with arm around Katrien. Looking at that photo now it seems like it is akin to the girlfriend who cheated on me and then lied about it.
Hope those who go have a great night. Gee up the players, we still got games to play for pride. And I would be really keen to hear some good stories from the night. Like none of the executives turning up because they are too scared. or because they are deep into negotiations on selling the club!

If I were there I would be tempted to simply have a pleasant chat about her holiday.
Travel insurance.
Exchange rates.
The flight.
The accommodation.
The food.
The excursions.
Bargains to be had.
The weather.
Who fed the cat whilst she was away.
Any advice she might like to give if I were going there.
Every last detail.
If on the other hand Katrien got bored with all of that, or felt it was intrusive, and asked me how I had been doing I would tell her.

It just occurred to me that they no longer list the shirt sponsors in the programme. Surely one of the main reasons for sponsoring players is to get your name in the programme next to the player, even if it was Paul Bacon's home shirt or Amdy Faye's training kit?1
