Ask the players whether Katrien negotiated with them by text or Facebook Messenger.

Sorry to pick you Weegie I've seen this a few times. where did this story originate from?!
Pete Finch (well-connected and fornerly of Charlton Live) tweeted it. I asked if OK to share and he said certainly.

A sponsors evening with no finance officer or CEO?

    Weird {.... Unique.....}

    She ain't got the bottle
She does have "bottle". She hides from failures but confrontation of a naive nature is something she actually does.

Roland no doubt told her to not attend...most probably, either way.

No wonder he was strolling around against Derby, I'd offer Motta a new deal now and see if anyone will buy him, if he'll pass the medical

Motta bettet than Solly? Get a grip

More to the point why would Motta join a league 1 team?

She has negotiated contracts via text message and Facebook messenger...

Have I ever negotiated a football players contract? I can't say I have. I wouldn't know the in and out process apart from my experience of using football manager PC game.

At least use Watsapp! Ya silly cow, get with the times..if your not gana use email...which I assume is the standard for what I also assume is the transaction of messages between her and a players agent.

Well objectively...and we all must stay objective, she sounds about as professional and normal as Ian Dowies even more strange identical twin brother.

    Dyslexia at its finest :)

I probably would have bought a flight for Austria anyway :)
That's not fucking dyslexia that's just being a bit of a dumb twat, let's be honest.

    Pot, Kettle, Black.

You got flagged for literally suggesting that his own insult may be applicable to him... How unique.

Ok can't believe I am gonna defend KM here, it will be the first and last time I assure you.

I am joining a new company and we did some informal negotiations via SMS and messenger. I don't think it's that strange that a football club would do the same.

Probably because it's about his level?

The boycott concept seems to be beyond some who should know better methinks.

The sponsors dinner is included in the package that is bought usually at the beginning of the season. I don't see why people should boycott something they've already paid for.

I wonder if the datatech guys got a refund?
Or is this the players kit sponsor event?

I think he is probably a bit better than league 1.

So the owner (despite being in town), CEO and chairman didn't attend a sponsors dinner?

Hopefully because they were busy selling the club.

If not, it is a clear sign we are winning.

It was also a kind thing to do. People had paid for a meal and the sight of that lot would have put them off eating it.

Because had all the sponsors boycotted the event, RD would have had no choice but to sell up on the spot. It's obvious...

    OK, what I remember.

For Iainment and others the shirt sponsorship was paid for by Bromley Addicks back in July and I was there representing the group. No value in "boycotting" something that has already been paid for and is about the players IMHO. Will we do the same next season? I doubt we'll sponsor a shirt under this regime but that will be up to the group.

I think all the players were there. I didn't count them all but all the first team regulars were about. Don't remember seeing Sarr but might have missed him. Riga, Wim and Simon Clark were there.

Simon Clark got a lot of positive mentions from players and is seen as a good, innovative coach. A name to watch I'd suggest, maybe sooner than later.

Spoke briefly to Riga and he was pretty low key. I didn't get a hint that he knew his future although one player seemed to think he did and that it wasn't good (for Riga). Meeting with RD tomorrow according to one player.

This season described as a "Shambles from the start" by another player. Cited the trip to Belgium where half the sqaud couldn't play on the artificial pitch so came home to play Dulwich. Previous year said that players couldn't warm up a St Truiden as other RD teams playing so had to make 10 min bus ride to warm up pitch and then get back on bus to stadium.

This year Austria to a camp used by Arsenal and others. Viewed positively.

More than one player unhappy with being asked by the CEO what to do and then advice from the senior players being ignored/not acted upon. This related to coaches and signing players. Players spoken to have lost any initial sympathy and respect for KM because of her actions and lack of action. One said was disillusioned with football as a whole as a result and doesn't feel that he should be involved with a CEO's role as a player.

Names of players such as Lee Tomlim, who was willing to join, were given to the CEO but no action taken.

Deal to bring Yann back at a price acceptable to CAFC agreed in Jan 2016 (on free transfer) but having agreed the wages with his agent and with Yann happy to signCAFC pulled the plug.

Constant changing of managers and mistakes with recruitment didn't help. Relegation seen as avoidable is better decisions had been made. Fraeye not interim as had a contract from the start. Karel seen as nice guy but "just didn't have it".

Club lucky to have Gomez and Lookman to sell but can't expect to find a valuable youngster every season. RDs way of running things not understood or seen as viable.

Lots of uncertainly over who will be around as coach and players

"around 90%" of players have a clause meaning their wages drop with relegation but different percentages depending on each contract.

Training ground badly needs to be done but works seems to be continuing and not stopped.

A lot of this just makes me wanna cry!

Thanks HI, very interesting reading, I think the removal of the CEO is essential to any chance of getting back up.
The players need to buy into the future and with her there it will not happen

It's not the way a professional football club should be run, we know that. The CEO is clueless and out of her depth. We have people in charge who wouldn't be in their position at any other football league club. The mind boggles. I'm frightened for our club.
