IMPORTANT—CARD Statement 3: Brighton Home
Yes, Charlton are going down, and it’s all Roland Duchatelet’s fault. So CARD is going to throw the kitchen sink at him - before, during and after today’s match against Brighton.
Unfortunately, we’re told that the club’s owner has slunk off back to Belgium, despite being in SE7 for the last two days. Presumably, he’s gone to hide behind a replica of the fans sofa in his front room.
He still hasn’t seen a match at The Valley since October 21st, 2014. But this time, Roland, there’s no escape, because we’re bringing you to The Valley anyway - in so many different ways.
He’ll be there on the march, which leaves the Liberal Club in Charlton Church Lane at 2.15pm (assemble from 2pm), and he’ll be present throughout the afternoon.
Chief executive Katrien Meire once said: "Roland does it his way and the fans need to accept that.”
Today’s the day that Charlton fans show they don’t accept it. And they never will.
Join us for the march. Join us for today’s in-game protests. Join us in boycotting all spending on refreshments, merchandise and programmes from the club. Join us in the west stand car park immediately after the game.
Join us in taking back our club.

I'd love to be there. Good luck everyone. Hopefully I have the game on TV so will be looking out for some fun and games.0

Stuck at work but my head and my heart is with the protests today. Please give them hell.5

Everyone is entitled to their view and protest in this country.
However, the only way to get Roland out of the club is to find a buyer. That will need a lot of money and not another Mark Hulyer.
Relegation means that a lot of the players will leave and income will be reduced. This will affect the number of academy graduates retained. Consider your actions before going over the top and get the club in trouble with the Football League.
As the Brighton poster said, get organized and prove the club is worth buying for the future.0 -
BRING IT ON1

On this day

If you're anywhere near The Valley today, do whatever you can to get down to the March and make history today. This will likely be the largest supporter protest that football in England has ever seen. Make it so that you can tell your grandchildren that you were there that day. That you made a difference. That you stood up for what is right.
Make football history. Make Charlton history. Make Roland history.25 -
Would love a Game of Thrones themed protest where a guy in a skin coloured morph suit and a Roland mask is paraded down the streets to the valley with a stern looking woman ringing a bell shouting "shame" as he is pelted with all manner of rotten foods, even better if we could actually do it to Duchatelet himself.
Seriously wish I could be there today but stuck abroad for work. Good luck to everybody taking part and give them hell!7 -
Currently getting a tattoo, hope to get down there in time but looking unlikely. Good luck all.0

Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties and so bear ourselves that,if the Charlton Athletic and the football league last for a thousand years,men will say,"This was their finest hour."1
-
Out of the country today shall be listening in,give them hell lets get our club back,good luck everyone0

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead.
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage;
Then lend the eye a terrible aspect;
Let pry through the portage of the head
Like the brass cannon; let the brow o'erwhelm it
As fearfully as doth a galled rock
O'erhang and jutty his confounded base,
Swill'd with the wild and wasteful ocean.
Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide,
Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
To his full height. On, on, you noblest English.
Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof!
Fathers that, like so many Alexanders,
Have in these parts from morn till even fought
And sheathed their swords for lack of argument:
Dishonour not your mothers; now attest
That those whom you call'd fathers did beget you.
Be copy now to men of grosser blood,
And teach them how to war. And you, good yeoman,
Whose limbs were made in England, show us here
The mettle of your pasture; let us swear
That you are worth your breeding; which I doubt not;
For there is none of you so mean and base,
That hath not noble lustre in your eyes.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

Work, alas. Was going to make this my first visit to the Valley since last season...the only aspect of CAFC I find worth being proud of now is this community and JJ.0

The game is being televised live today and shown in several European countries and the USA so make protests during the game visual make a noise. Good luck, I will be watching from Barcelona.6

How can the fans find a buyer? We do what we can do to affect change - by protesting and withdrawing our custom (tickets and in- ground purchases). Anyway there are two consortiums interested - all we can do is make life as uncomfortable for the regime until they have had enough - and sell up.Crusty54 said:Everyone is entitled to their view and protest in this country.

Sorry one of those IPTV subs is needed. beIN Sports in France have it, Sportklub in Eastern Europe showing it along with a few others. If you can access beIN Sports Arabia they may have it also but unlikely to be available on beIN Sports network or Movistar in Spain.Solidgone said:

There are potential buyers - what is needed is to make Roland think this isn't worth it and he should sell up now.Crusty54 said:Everyone is entitled to their view and protest in this country.
