Statement from Roland?

Heard a rumour that our esteemed leader was going to issue another rant this evening. Anyone else heard this?

A strict denial of ITV's article saying he wasn't going to sell-up would be good.

An apology to Miere for leaving her in the frontline for flack aimed at him would be in order. Coward.
  • Hi is an old coward who lets his floozy take all the flak for his crap. I hate him.

He's agreed to start filming Rolling with Roland. I am co-ordinating the press release with Douglas' people as I write this.

Watch this space. It's what we've all been waiting for

@cabbles -you know how movies are shot out of sequence, I've just come up with a surefire way of financing yours. Spoiler alert, but you know the last scene where Rolies tragically run over by a black cab as he bends down in the middle of the road to pick up an expired Macdonalds Monopoly voucher for a free McChicken Deluxe before tripping on the badly repaired sole of his shoe and falling under the wheels...

Hold an online auction for the non-speaking part of the cab driver, I'll start you off at a ton and I'm just off to buy a Tottenhan shirt to get the costume sorted....

She is part of this and killing our club, but if I was her dad or boyfriend and go and find Duchatelet and lamp him one. He has hidden behind her. She knows nothing about football, but he has used her. It wouldn't have been too hard to stay an extra day, but he is scared - he hides behind a young woman out of her depth. She gets loads of abuse because he has made her the target. I'm hope this pathetic coward is proud of himself - everybody knows what he is.

To be fair, it is what she is paid (well) to do

I do 't think Katrien is the young frightened mouse she pretends to be. She is one tough cookie, middle aged, divorced, has a child somewhere, worked in law, and can play men for suckers. Incompetent and a liar, yes, but I repeat, she is one tough cookie.

True. But no matter how much I was paying someone, I would have the personal pride and sense of self worth not to push someone else into the front line while I hid in another country. The bloke is like Boris Johnson and Piers Morgan rolled into one. There are no adjectives to describe how low and loathsome this "man" is.

He is as low as you can get. He is a coaward and a fool.If I could have a wish, it would be for him to realise it! Mind you, that would have wasted that wish!
  • When the time comes she will quietly be moved to another role in the Staprix empire. Less high profile perhaps but she's building a loyal employee reputation with the top man. She will front out her Charlton role as long as she needs to. She's a hard as nails bitch.

Good point, she has to brave it out to get another job with Roland ...certainly no-one else will employ her.

    Unfortunately I think that's a common misconception.

In many respects her CV is being enhanced on a daily basis. Sure, not in respect of "customer relations", but if you were the man at the top of an organisation and wanted someone to come in and execute your plans unwaveringly then she would be ticking a lot of boxes.

Public executioner would suit her down to the ground...

For us they are, but if you're Roland then you probably think she's doing a good enough job with the hand you've dealt her.

"Executing plans" is a somewhat generous description of her role. First off, do the club even have proper plan - I see no evidence of this. She lurches reactively from crisis to disaster. Secondly, she is well known for her idle and indolent approach to the CEO job and completely fails to provide any leadership.

Please don't buy this image of her bravely fronting out the protests. Its just her natural-born ignorance and brass neck combined with desperation to cling on to her well paid job, as she has no desire (or chance) to go back to her legal career.

It is amazing how people who are inept and often deeply unpopular somehow manage to climb the work ladder and end up wielding power really badly.
Had a striking example of this where I used to work.
But as long as KM has Roland Despot's blessing she will cling to what she has.
What a terrible mess Roland Katrien and Tony are.
But what a brilliant set of supporters Charlton Athletic have.
We don't deserve the shambles of a club it is now and how badly run it is.
    Everyone knows it.
The football world seems to be condemning this hopeless out of their depth regime from every quarter.
    Success indeed, Roland.

The supercilious grin and head shaking while she was being publicly berated by so many irate customers was nauseating. She really doesn't give a shit does she? She's as mad as Roly if she thinks the business will survive with so few customers and no discernible product.
  • KM is hopeless but has RD's support and I have no doubt she'll be successful in the future. Her main concern is getting on and she'll carry out orders as requested.
I think she's truly vile and gets sympathy by virtue of being a woman - those taken in by her are very naive.
RM is the biggest disappointment - has lost all respect from the fans.

I think Tony's role in all this is not credited as much as it should be though.
KM gets a lot of flak, and fair enough, she is a drip with a degree, but Tony and Roland Prat use her as a human shield. Roland never faces up to the effects of his actions, does he Katrien, he pays you to be on the receiving end.
Not much of a job is it, when all's said and done. But that's what happens when you are a lackey.
And Tony just hides in the shadows....( not the ones with Hank )

Why? She's the CEO, the senior person running the day to day activities of the club. If Peter Varney or Steve Waggott were doing what she's been doing I'd treat them exactly the same.

KM isn't bothered anyway, she's a tough lawyer, her next position will be in some city firm or European multinational, this is just an entry on her cv.
