What worries me is that the 'senior management' may actually want the Football League to take action, to deliver a clear message to those protesting and also, hopefully, to cause a fair number to stop supporting CARD. At most clubs the bosses would fight such measures. We might be the first where those in charge actively campaign for it.

The FA need to take a long hard look at themselves, the fact that their 'fit an proper' ownership test is such a doddle means that there are a number of appalling owners now in league football. Of which, Duchatelet, is possibly the worst.

Surely the FA/FL can only take action against clubs? They could, for example, force the closure of areas of the ground. ie the North Stand. The FL would not ban individuals unless there had been a major incident (ie one that went to court) but could see them issuing a suspended punishment this week (ie two-matches behind-closed-doors) in a bid to head off trouble next weekend. It's all about money, Palace & Millwall cases involve serious harm caused to people and others feeling threatened/scared.

About time the FA started looking into it. Ultimately the club will probably get charged and fined for failing to control the fans. Good news from our point of view because it means it hits Roland in the pocket again. It may also mean they step up security for each match which will cost money and cause some headaches inside the regime.16

I was sitting next to the guy from the FA .
He said there was nothing they could do about the balloons and beach balls .but he was concerned when the pumps were thrown on to the pitch .
He also did mention how well funded card is and it is getting great legal advice .
In all he seemed to be impressed with how organised the protests were .
