I would imagine that there are more of us by far, who didn't criticise those who went, than those who did. So I think that sharing anything pertinent could reasonably be expected.6

I don't know about needy slagger offers Henry, I just think there are a lot of us in the same boat as you - weren't there for a good reason and would love to hear what went down.
FWIW I'm a season ticket holder but only got to 3 games at the Valley this season due to ongoing health issues.5 -

I think it's a great event to have. I haven't been to one but always wanted to just haven't got round to arranging it with mates. Think next year I'll have to get around to it with it being Jacko's last year.0 -

For those that want a summary of the evening:
There seemed to be a general uncertainty amongst the people I spoke to around who would be owning the club next year, who would be the manager, and what playing staff would remain and who would go.
The players enjoyed interacting with the fans, some were a few minutes late because they had been out watching the premiership games in Greenwich. They seemed to be getting on well together.
I heard general support for Riga, the training regime he put in and how it was working.
The largest issue though is the uncertainty mentioned above. I hope this is resolved soon so that we can move on.
I spoke to TK briefly as mentioned earlier, I mentioned that I thought it was terrible how so many long term supporters were leaving maybe not to come back and that the current owners had burnt all bridges with the fans. He couldn't say much about that, he did ask how old my son is (6) and repeated the sad old trope that the clubs priority is my son.
I did ask how he thought my son would be attending if I was not and perhaps a wider view might be better.
Unfortunately before he was able to respond Katrien clicked her fingers and the staff were required to scuttle off out of the room with her.

Indeed and it was heaving that night. I thought and I think the consensus among the rest of CASC was that it wasn't sustainable in that format longer term but I enjoyed it. Always have apart from the build up for the organisation it is stressy knowing that you are responsible for such an important date in a lot of people's calendar. That's why I take my hat of to all those that give so much time and effort on behalf of all of us.east terrace peanuts said:

I think that we only did the pub one year from memory in Greenwich. Moved it to the Black Prince when Curbs and Gritty were in charge.

Katrien Meire shows yet again how unsuited to the CEO role she is. Meire may be the star in her own little world but not in ours. It It is not about her, it has feck all to do with her. She is treated with derision not only because she is rubbish at her job, but that she completely misunderstands what it is to be a football supporter (as does Duchatelet); and why someone supports and has a deep link with the football club they support. That was the only time all evening i saw a fan approach her.
most people were there in support for the organisers, but in hindsight it was good that it went ahead as it does give the fans and players an opportunity to interact. It's just a shame she came to make the night selfishly about her."
For Meire is about her role, status and position within an organisation. The club is bigger than her, that she is just a manager acting for the owner who is a custodian. It would have been better for her not to attend yesterday. Yesterday was about the players and supporters. Yet again she tries to make it all her own story.
Meire should be forced to read Charlie Bright's brilliant article every single day to remind herself of what its all about.

I did not intend to criticize anyone in particular. I just find it hypocritical when posters accuse those who went of brown nosing the players, then ask what did they say? People can't have it all ways. I don't know who said what, and appreciate some missed due to cost, due to not having a vegetarian option, and just being away or similar. Have no problem with this, it's being judged for why I and others choose to go, then the same people being asked to "spill the beans". I went primarily to support my friends who oraganize it all, and to have a good time. Not to be a brown noser or a mole. Sorry if my attitude offends anyone, but feel offended myself at certain comments. Actually I stood outside the covered end collecting votes until 5 minutes before kick off on both games but you cannot see everyone. Jordan Cousins polled 41% of the votes so the winner was not in doubt.4
