The White Swan

Apologies if there's another thread already covering this but I couldn't find one. Just to let people know that the White Swan in The Village is closed again as of sometime last week and doesn't appear to be reopening anytime soon. The manager has disappeared without trace and looking through the window on Saturday last, it looked like the Marie Celeste with everything left in situ as if abandoned quickly. It's definitely closed though and nobody in The Village seems to know what has happened.
Looking ahead, I understand that The Charlton Society are trying to get it listed as an Asset of Community Value (same as The Valley) but I guess this is going to take a while, even if successful. So, if you're planning on popping in before or after the QPR game, you need to have 'Plan B' ready.

Update Tuesday 18th - appears to be open again! Went past tonight on the bus - doors of the pub open, lights on but didn't appear to be a soul in there. So it's either open,or there are squatters in there!0

Wasn't plastic glasses. Got here from Bristol and needed a pint. Time for a quick sit down in a minute.Tom_Hovi said:Opens 11:00 but plastic glasses only under police instructions. Not sure what they think is going to happen today.
