Is it just my telly or does it look like there's snow, or some sort of white fluff, on the pitch at the north west corner!
Only saw from 30 mins on, but win was well deserved on the remaining period. Yamfan looks a prospect3 -
Thought the boys played really well on the whole and could have easily won it in extra time. Definitely deserved the result.

Are the under 18s allowed to be drinking that champagne? Congratulations to them, at least something's going right with this club at the moment.0

Great pens from the lads.
Unfortunately, Roland will have watched the link with ££s in his eyes.2 -

Liked the look of Lapslie. Great pen too.0

Just back, very enjoyable. Yamfam changed the game, after a stunning fk from Hallam their number ten, who they took off for a giant of a centre half, Hallam was good and there was little threat after he went off. the FK was rightly given offside in my view.
Konsa was excellent, and Lapslie was very good and Sarpon-Wiredu got better as he was gradually deployed further forward in stages. Karlan was great, especially second half, and Bone impressed again.
Sheffield had the first hour, we had the second one.
Last year we won it at Brentford, this year we won it again.5 -
A thoroughly enjoyable evening and what a pleasure to see a game at the Valley in which we could focus just on the football.
I arrived 10 minutes late and missed Sheffield United's goal but I thought that they contained us very comfortably in the first half, as well as threatening our goal on a number of occasions. We were forced to play in front of them and looked pretty bereft of inspiration up front.
A different story in the second half, when we worked our way back into the game and gradually forced them deeper and deeper. For most of the second period, particularly in the last half hour, United had ten men behind the ball. The equaliser was a long time coming but thoroughly deserved and Charlton were by far the better side in extra time. Overall, our win was thoroughly deserved.
I thought that Konsa was outstanding and looks a real prospect - strong, fast, excellent positional sense and anticipation and very good use of the ball. Depending upon who sticks around at the club, I think this lad is likely to be treading the boards in League 1 at some stage next season. I also liked the look of George Lapsie, who has a great engine and is a very determined player. Ahearne-Grant was dangerous for us up front and, as Seth has said, the substitute Yamfan caused the opposition big problems late on with his direct runs and skilful dribbling.6 -
Good summary, Blucher.
And it was good to meet you at half time.

Likewise, Fanny.
Good to end the season on a happier note.0 -
Great to see all the younger academy boys cheering on the older boys last night. All looking smart in club training gear. It also pleasing to see captain Lapslie and a few others take time and go over to high five all the younger boys at the end before collecting the trophy. It was obvious that the young lads really look up to the older boys.
As others have said Konsa looks a real prospect as does Lapslie. I thought Karlan did not look interested at first but he prove me wrong and looked a class act. Yamfam was mustard when he came on, lit the place up. On the way out I said to one of the youngsters that that could be him in a few years. He did not say anything just smiled and patted the club badge on his training top. Great distraction from all the the tosh going on. Looks to me like the Academy is flourishing. Let's hope it stays that way.
