They'll be in a higher league than us on merit. If we played them next year they'd rightly be favourites.

Only on paper by what league they are in. They are still minute compared to us and we are still massive compared to them.

Let's not fall into the mindset of 'we're a bigger club than where we are...'. It's the droning you get to hear from supporters of clubs that perennially fail, from Newcastle to Leeds to Sheffield Wednesday. We are where we deserve to be. Same with Burton. If we played them now we would lose (if we played most sides now we would lose). Come the FA Cup 3rd round in January, assuming we even get that far, things might be different; we could be on the up and Burton could be doing a Bolton (or a Charlton). But for now, well done them. They are the better club.

They have done well considering that they were going well last season and lost their manager (Gary Rowett), JFH came in and they just carried on and got promoted.

This season they were going well and again lost their manager (JFH) but again just carried on and got promoted again.

A 27k stadium with 8K rattling around in it next season wont give the impression of a massive club....

Granted they might have a better team but better team doesn't mean bigger club. After at one stage in our Premiership days we actually had a better team than Newcastle but they are a bigger club.

Basically it is only a matter of time that we will be in a higher division than Burton again.

Yep and next season we could be playing Accrington Stanley too

hope so, new ground, all we have to look forward to next season
A shame that we missed out on playing Burton next season, that would have been a great weekend!

That said I would still rather have Burton above us than the pikeys from SE16.
