Does that mean they are not giving Halford a free transfer?

we couldn't afford any of them (wages wise) even if we wanted them I suspect.

as someone said a few days ago, our sights (transfer wise) will be set much lower (i.e a Plymouth right back and some bloke from Barnet), with maybe a couple of season long loans from prem clubs thrown in

Maybe they have forgotten he is theirs. Maybe we can get a fee for him, before they realise.

I'ne not seen that published anywhere but I suggested on another thread that seems to be the most financialy practicable solution.

His old Colchester manager Parky, loves him, remember. ;o)

I hope that's true. I'd much rather see Moo2 play.

If we keep Halford I fear that all we have to look forward to is another season of long ball football.

Seeing as the new COE was Andy Coles' agent, he could do a deal with him again and get him on the cheap. ;-)

I don't think Halford necessarily = long ball football, I htought some of his passing was pretty good and his long throw is a weapon that we can usefully use, after all Chrissy Powell benefited from it on Sunday and we did not play long ball during that game. I am not that fussed if he stays or goes, i do have doubts about Moo2 who had a good preseason, got injured at Stoke, his 2nd league game and then on his belated return looked defensively naive.

Halford can;t lace Moo2 boots if he is not a good player.

Moo2 is young and has massive ptoential. Halford can't get better IMO

I haven't got a problem with Halford. In this league I think he'd be OK but only OK. Moo2 has a lot more potential but he's not played that much and we do need more than one RB. I still think Semedo might get the gig.
