FIFA appoints first woman secretary general - Fatma Samoura (from Senegal)

Samoura said "Today is a wonderful day for me and I am honoured to take on the role. I believe the role is a perfect fit for my skills and experience - strategic, high-impact team building in international settings which I will help to grow the game of football all over the world........ ' Perhaps she could take Katrien Meire under her wing

In all seriousness if she has the organisation skills and business acumen, plus a few political skills, then she will be better than most of her predecessors (being honest would help).

Exactly, totally agree. It is just that the announcement made me smile and think of the contrast with our own CEO. Where are all the sexist remarks that supposedly reflect us Charlton Fans? Would have thought they would have been pouring in if you believe every statement you read from a certain person about us.

And this one contains foul language.
    Maybe Katrien was right ;-)

You do realise that there is a version of Women's Football?

So the question... Who did she play for is a good Question...

That can't possibly be true, football is a man's game.

She seems well-suited for a high profile job but I only hope she secretly possesses the ability to take bribes and live life to the full on the gravy train that is no needed for a career in FIFA

I'm sure I have seen her walking round Lewisham on Sundays dressed up like a cabbage.
