Twilight Sad--Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters
Also, highly recommend "Minor Victories," members of The Editors, Mogwai, and a couple others have recorded a really good record and have been touring the UK with it. The song Scattered Ashes which featured James Graham of The Twilight Sad is brilliant.
Had my ipod on shuffle last night and this came on. Not a song I remembered so nearly choked when I saw the title, just can't escape him. The lyrics don't really fit though... "he always had the time to speak with me and I liked him for that"
Along comes Mary - The Association - Easy listening, summery ode to Marijuana. Evil Hearted You - The Yardbirds - I bought this single with my own pocket money when I was 11 years old. Quite a heavy sound for a teenybopper! After Clapton's departure very much a Jeff Beck showpiece. I still love it 51 years later. Berkeley Mews - The Kinks - Like the Beatles, some of the Kink's 'b' sides were better than most artists 'a' sides. Ray Davies at his quirky late 60's best.
