Not for the sake of @colin1961 as he is beyond hope but Varney isn't going to tell us who the potential buyer is.

Varney has already refuted the lie that his backers wanted to leave the Valley.

What I suspect the emails will reveal is that Roland IS willing to sell and was talking to PDV about just that thus blowing out of the water RD and KMs statements that "the club's not for sale".

Didn't Roland sell STVV, but retain ownership of the ground that they play at?

Maybe it's something along those lines, Duchatelet will sell the club but not the ground, and KM is putting 2 and 2 together to get 22?

If his backers are happy then he is entitled to release what he wants to prove he isn't lying. Katie has the chance to retract her statement and avoid him doing so. If she doesn't then it means she stands by what she said and PV is entitled to defend himself in whatever way he sees fit.

Like the rest of us you don't know who his backers are, what the offer is, how much it is etc so don't pretend you do. A little while ago you were saying their were no buyers, no one would buy us in League One and yet now we know that is totally not the case.

She should retract, though the vast majority of Charlton fans will know who the liar is, so he shouldn't need to release the e-mails.

Emails as she will weasel out of any blame if she even does retract by using the misrepresented excuse once again.

No chance this leads to her leaving, she is clearly unsackable to Roland and does not have enough class to do the honourable thing by resigning.

Don't need emails - I know whose word I trust. She should be asked to apologise and left to deal with her own conscience.

We have a strange situation here, if PV publishes the emails, he may be compromising his backer(s), and would need permission I guess to release some of the documents. If Meire retracts, then the potential talks could continue (if they ever started) and we may get a positive outcome. However even if she retracts, RD will not hang her out to dry, he hasn't before and i don't see it being different this time, but he could pull out of said talks if PV publishes. Its a case now of 'cat and mouse' and both parties may have to back down. This is of course assuming any talks have taken place of which I'm not in the know. The next 36 hours now will be very interesting to watch.

It's a bit meaningless then, isn't it? You haven't even located these people in or around the club. So they are people who can't be identified who know something that they haven't told you.

All I said is that some people do. Two different people have told me the same thing and neither were Katrien. I dare say she is aware though.

Sounds almost common knowledge then.

Nearly everything in life is for sale at the right price, maybe RD has had preliminary discussions with Varney's people but this doesn't mean the club is for sale, merely that he is investigating what's on the table.
I don't understand why you are all getting so excited over this other than the fact that KM has yet again landed her self in hot water.
