Poll - Do you want KM to retract her comments or do you want to know what is in the emails?

Katrien publishing a retraction would mean admitting that she had made a mistake and acknowledging it and it is already clear her parents had never taught her how to do this, so this is a rather meaningless exercise.1
-
For me, it's retract....
And then PV to publish the emails anyway.
But, then again, I'm mean (and I side with Airman's view that they will not actually contain detail of any bid, but will be about arrangements to meet).0 -
I'm not sure the options are mutually exclusive.
So, my preference would be KM, sweating profusely while providing a retraction.
Followed by Varney saying, sod that I'm disclosing anyway.1 -
I think he should leak the sex tape
Wait, what are you guys talking about???.....2 -
Thanks for the PM. Interesting.Swisdom said:

Retract, go forth and multiply on the continent.0

Don't think she will comment at all either now or after PDV publishes the emails.
Then 3 months down the line she'll tell the fans forum or someone that she was misquoted or similar.
"Never explain, never apologise" as it says on the tacky poster behind her desk.0 -
In the selfsame press conference Russell Slade goes on about how great his conversations have been, how he is confident he is dealing with good people because of what they have said, how he has been assured about a fresh start, about how they intend to reconnect with the fans which he approves of. it is all hoping, and wanting, and intending, and all about inclusive conversations and team work and so on. In that context he is OK about not having things in the contract (although there is indeed an employment contract with financials), it will be about trust and that stuff about players will 'go through' him.
Then we have a quite straightforward lie, clearly seen as the right 'spin' to put on the notion that the club could end up with new owners, the mention of Varney and The Valley consciously and deliberately introduced by Katrien.
So what is Slade to think about the sincerity of those who have just given him the job? That they are straight dealers to be trusted? I would think Slade is thinking about the money as a safety net whilst he tries to make the best of a bad job. All the stuff Slade goes on about regarding how he was beguiled by the decency of this regime is either him kidding himself or the chatter of the innocent.
Watching the events of yesterday I couldn't help thinking just how damn lonely everybody seems to be. In the context of a club, in the context of teamwork, in the context of collaborative effort to crawl out of this mess it will take some effort by somebody to unite everybody to become a club and a team.
Katriens words in the press conference negated for me all the sweet hopefulness of Slades opening remarks.7 -
I'm not playing games, but I think there is a good chance you're wrong (i.e. talking about something else).Swisdom said:
All I said is that some people do. Two different people have told me the same thing and neither were Katrien. I dare say she is aware though.Airman Brown said:
It's a bit meaningless then, isn't it? You haven't even located these people in or around the club. So they are people who can't be identified who know something that they haven't told you.Swisdom said:

Are you claiming that Meire knows or is likely to know from them?
I'm not playing the "I know something you don't" game but your statement said "nobody knows"1 -
After x number of years, all of a sudden i've 'got' your name.Er_Be_Ab_Pl_Wo_Wo_Ch said:The emails must be revealing, else they wouldn't have been brought into the discussion, so I'd like to see them.
There hasn't been a retraction for two and half years so we can rule that out, we might see another 'weird meaning unique' type statement alongside a comment that the club is learning from mistakes.

I think people are getting a little over excited as to what these emails contain.
Sounds to me that they will be in a similar vein to the last ones that were published in the votv.
Basically Varney asking to speak with Duchatelet and getting pied again.2 -
Of course it is - if anybody thinks its going to be any juicier then i think they're going to be hugely disappointed.carly burn said:I think people are getting a little over excited as to what these emails contain.

Its going to be (another) nothing event, Superhyped into some orgasmic material that never emerges.

Would like her to deny, deny, deny and deny that Peter Varney is being truthfully and then realise that she has to retract and look stupid, again... The gift that keeps on giving.1
-
Has anyone heard of redaction? It's when you get out your big black market and cross out the parts of a paper document you can't release due to it not being correct to put it into the public domain.
By email, no need for a big black marker, you just black out the bits you can't say.
As long as there is enough unredacted to get your point across, no issues.1 -
It's good that KM has upset PV. PV has some influence and will be useful in being involved in getting rid of KM.
She treats us fans with contempt as we have no voice( or a small one eg sitting in the car park or throwing stress balls)
PV has the opportunity to show her up for what she is.

Amazing an offer was made ahead of due diligence. Equally amazing KM suggests the new owners plans for the club re leaving the valley was openly mentioned in the approach emails. I'm not sure the new owners would share their future plans for the club at this or any stage. The previous owners intended to move from the valley, that is a fact.Airman Brown said:

I mean either way we'll know she lied again so it doesn't matter to me lol0
-
I want her to retract. The seriousness of her having to come out and publicly admit that she lied will be a mega win for those of us who want them out. It will hurt her massively.
The emails, as interesting as they might be, could turn out to be pretty inconsequential.1 -
The previous owners may have wanted to move, but I also believe it was part of the selling point when they sold the club too.masicat said:

Wasn't there a court case recently, where TJ had taken cash on the condition it was to be used for Charlton to relocate to the Peninsular?
Edit: 1.8 million was lent on that condition.

Retraction followed by emails anyone once we've had another chance to abuse her for yet more lies. However she's got a Bunker mentality Hitler would be proud of, so I think she will manage not to say anything now but will use one of the following excuses in due course....gloss over it/say she was taken out of context/blame her Belglish/pretend she's already apologised/blame CARD/etc1

Did we ever get either an apology or production of emails ? ....No? - just as i thought.
Its all getting a bit boring now.0 -
Well an apology or retraction was never going to happen was it?
So now it's down to PV to work out with his lawyers the most aporopriate way forward.
Which may not be an immediate publication of emails dispointingly.
Can't see much heat in this one, looks like a slower burn.1 -
Just go0
