If she plans to go for misinterpretation again....then the only thing she can do is say she didn't mean that it was Varneys consortium specifically that wanted to move Charlton from the valley.

Who was it then? Would be the follow up.

Speaking without thinking is like her illness she has created.

Except she can't say she was misinterpreted. She explicitly said Varney's investors want to move Charlton from The Valley.

The only way out for Katrien Meire is to say she lied, she was wrong, or quit. She's that arrogant that I expect zero response from her today. At best we'll get a generic statement on the OS.

She has probably been advised once again not to speak to the media. Ever since she resumed at the Telegraph forum she's buggered things up.

If it's an OS statement, it will be good to see flaggy again. Been missing him. ;)

If you tell a lie on question 1 Daisy, you will probably get caught out on question 2 (That's a little lesson for you and the rest of your SMT by the way)

She has blocked any deal because she will be out of work and she knows it..!!

There is a further option (perhaps more high risk) for Meire which is to say that she was simply repeating the words of Roland Duchatelet with regards to the alleged Varney move from the Valley. she does in fact refer implicitly to RD during the full comment saying that he (RD) knows that it is important for the Charlton fans that the team plays at the The Valley (or something very much like that).

I Only offer this as a possibly because I still think it possible that RD actually told her to drop that into the press conference if the question arose as a way to take the heat of her? Plus, she has form for this. following relegation Meire blamed two major factors in the relegation. These were: player indiscipline and too many managerial changes causing instability. The second of these clearly implicates Duchatelet as being a major contributory factor in the relegation due to his impatience with managers and his propensity to hand-pick replacements from within his network.

Whatever, the truth or otherwise of this I assume we are never ever going to see a personal apology for any error of judgement or mismanagement from Meire under any circumstances ever until the end of time. What a piece of work she is!

    Perhaps.

Private discussions don't really do much in the context of clearing his name after making public allegations about the nature of his offer though.

Euurghh, don't do it Peter. She might look presentable at first glance, but the hair is disguising a nest of vipers and the stench of rotten morality seeps from within her.

Wasn't she going to Portugal for the Football League conference for CEO's today, or have I got the dates wrong?

The deadline didn't stipulate when the e-mails would be released - the deadline was for preventing their release. Now I bite my tongue as what I want to say about you is probably better unsaid. We can all think it instead!
