I always thought the bell ringer was a little old man with a bald head, top hat and waistcoat. You're right though, here's a picture of the illustrated man with his bell.

Was absolutely delighted to have a cup final without any of the "big four", until we had seven people in the bar for what is normally one of our best afternoons of the year. It is exceptionally quiet here for this time of year, but even so seven bloody people! My faith in the English (Welsh) football supporter has taken a huge dive. We have become a nation of zombies, believing anything the media tells us - including that a cup final without Manpool v Chelsanal isnt worth watching.

Well done Pompey anyway, and if Mr. Portsmouth FC was Mr. Charlton FC, would we have a problem with it?

Rough as they can be, Pompey are a proper club, with proper supporters - give me them over the greedy four anytime, even if it costs me money.

    Viva the beautiful game!

Agree with Algarve, if this had been an Arsenal Liverpool final the papers would have so over hyped it during the last week, instead they have treated THE FA Cup as a second class competition to the chumpions league.

Algarve - I was in a pub in Chicago and it was half full. All English and Welsh, not an American to be seen, it will be very different on Wednesday.

Hopefully you'll make some good money on Wednesday, even though it plastic v plastic!

Algarve - So purely from a financial viewpoint - who would you want the final 4 of the Euro's to be?

Point well taken, but didn't think the last 3 qualified.
