Even assuming Krul goes, that's not good new for Rob who would have hoped to take over as their number 1

    Krul off to Boro apparently. Nothing to suggest why Elliott should be the number one keeper, especially if they feel Sels is a better player. He is only 24 too

    Elliot injured and will miss the start of the season.

    Sels has played for Belgium up to under-21 level, helped Gent to the 2014-15 Belgian league title and played in the Champions League the following season.
    Sounds like he's sufficiently experienced to play for Newcastle in the Championship.

    You don't sign a £5m keeper in the Championship as backup. Once fit, Rob will be fighting with Darlow to be on the bench
