Its the win / win situation for RD / KM though as these bookies arent going to care about protests etc.

Great - a low-life, misery creating betting company as our main sponsor. How low can we go?

    oh ....

Hope the club go the same way as the University of Greenwich and ignore the original font that used.

Which is one aim of sponsorship ie to get more people to have heard of you.

Those of you small enough to fit into children's kits will at least be able to buy a kit with no sponsor (should you wish to buy a kit at all)

It also helps getting round the barrage of protest emails to companies that we heard might be interested in sponsoring the club. This one went under the radar.

Aren't they tarted up as a slightly posher betting company?
  • Had an account with Betdaq (although I haven't used it for a while) - now deleted.

I actually don't have a problem with us having a betting company as a sponsor. I bet occasionally and have various accounts but having them on our shirt wouldn't make me interested in using them in the slightest.

I'd just be interested to know why on earth anyone would want to sponsor us at all at this moment in time to be honest?

Well all I can say is well done CARD and the protests. Seems the fan protests might have put off some other more natural Charlton partners and perhaps BETDAQ and their ilk was the easiest (only) best option.

Also an opportunity to get onto their Twitter/Facebook feeds and ask why they have sponsored us and say that we won't be using them out of principle.

I wonder what odds they will offer on one of our games getting abandoned in August?

Betdaq are a pretty high-profile company to be sponsoring a League One club so this is reasonably impressive from the commercial team

Well, even if I was prepared to buy a shirt - I wouldn't anymore. I've always been quite proud of Charlton for having decent sponsors, nothing betting or payday loan related.

On the flip side, I guess this is to be expected considering the reception any local/decent firms would get - and in that way, it's a sign of success for fan power.

Almost certain the kids shirts aren't allowed to have betting advertisement on them ?

Or most clubs (quite rightly) wouldn't touch a betting company with a barge pole.

Yet another own goal by the regime.

Beggars can't be choosers. Can't imagine the club were overrun with potential sponsors.

And a fitting partner for a board who are gambling away the club's heritage and future.

"As part of the deal BETDAQ will create unique offers and markets for Charlton fans".

Should read: As part of the deal, having complete disdain for both the club's supporters or gambling addicts throughout the country, BETDAQ will make it so much easier for you to piss your money up the wall because we really have no scruples whatsoever and don't give a shit.

just checked on sunderland website @Sir Chrissy and you can only purchase a plain sunderland shirt for kids so no sponsor at all on it, would imagine this is the rule with betting companies as there sponsered by dafabet.

Yep. Weren't even allowed to have the sky bet league badges put on them.
