He does have a great great uncle in Austria his name is uncle Adolf2

Absolute nonsense the organisation and lack of detail to fans.Lewis Coaches said:So Roland still unable to give details out to fans on which ground or grounds the matches will be played at.
Not to worry Roland sure when you meet up with your family in Austria you will be able to put a plan into action to stop us.
Ha Ha some hope.0 -
How many are they seriously expecting for these two home friendlies? We barely scraped 2,000 for the Inverness friendly 3 years ago and that was pre-Roland.
Id be surprised if theres any more then 3k for Ipswich and less then 2K for the dutch one.0 -
I think Ipswich will bring a few, plus they have a decent sized London based contingent.CAFCTrev said:How many are they seriously expecting for these two home friendlies? We barely scraped 2,000 for the Inverness friendly 3 years ago and that was pre-Roland.

Imagine the sense of depression if Meire takes her seat in Austria to be met with Roland out banners and chants. She's probably hoping it will all go away over the summer with a new manager etc.1

2 home friendlies available for that to start the season of with. Only the lower west and lower covered end open for home fans.mogodon said:Imagine the sense of depression if Meire takes her seat in Austria to be met with Roland out banners and chants. I want to say something but don,t want to give Roland or the CEO the upper-hand.shirty5 said:

Bromley away on Tuesday is £15 on the gate, which I feel is a bit pricey, for a knockabout.
Anyway, the good news is you can buy online in advance, which is always cheaper.
The cost is £16, including £1 booking fee

Given that the first team go out to Austria the following day I imagine this will be an XI, so be mindful before anybody parts with their hard earned.Covered End said:Bromley away on Tuesday is £15 on the gate, which I feel is a bit pricey, for a knockabout.

As I live near Bromley this is one fixture I normally attend. But it is only fringe players you get to see0

I guess Slade won't be taking charge of the team that night.blackpool72 said:As I live near Bromley this is one fixture I normally attend. But it is only fringe players you get to see

Maybe wait and see who appears today... Solly / Lennon are struggling for today yet they might be fit for Tuesday (I doubt it) so will get to see them.blackpool72 said:As I live near Bromley this is one fixture I normally attend. But it is only fringe players you get to see
At the end of the day though we ALL need to remember that Pre-Season Friendlies are solely about getting the players up to match fitness and working on various tactics and formations... They DONT exist for fans to go and see Charlton because they've not been able to see their favourite players for the last two months0 -
As it stands, the plan will be similar to that of Welling today. Different XI each half so first-teamers will be on show at Bromley.ElfsborgAddick said:

Appreciated mate. Can't make Welling and providing trains are not severely delayed from Kent House to Bromley South I plan on going to this but wanted to see first team faces.Ollywozere said:

I'd put it the other way round, I have no intention of going to Ipswich, but quite fancy seeing a dutch team beat us.CAFCTrev said:How many are they seriously expecting for these two home friendlies? We barely scraped 2,000 for the Inverness friendly 3 years ago and that was pre-Roland.

Lets put it this way,if Charlton are beaten by RKC Waalwijk it is going to be aseason that you really want to miss.......RKC Waalwijk finished second to bottom in the Dutch 2 division last season.Kap10 said:

Should be long odds quoted on a charlton win by our new sponsors in that case.Lewis Coaches said:

Went to Welling yesterday, will probably miss Bromley on Tuesday but will pop round the corner to the Dulwich match. Is it me or are these friendlies getting ridiculously expensive ?3
-
I agree. I'm tempted to pop down to Bromley on Tuesday, I live close enough to it that I could take a leisurely stroll.. BUT, having been to Welling do I really want to spend £30 on two matches which are purely about team fitness against non-league opposition?se9addick said:Went to Welling yesterday, will probably miss Bromley on Tuesday but will pop round the corner to the Dulwich match. I think it's good that it gets some funds for the smaller clubs, but Bromley for instance have had PSF's against both Palace, Millwall and Charlton if I recall correctly. Combined with the cash spent in the club at the bar and for food.. all together I'll have spent more against Welling and Bromley than I would've on a "proper" league fixture.0 -

Someone mentioned yesterday that the reason for the price increase is because Charlton have started charging the non-league opposition where we didn't previously, not sure if that's the case though.LuckyReds said:

By all accounts we charged Welling last season.se9addick said:

If you want the opposition to win, you shouldn't be anywhere near the game.Kap10 said:

I despise that attitude. Support the team, or go support someone else...1 -

Last game of the season and the game means nothing to us. If we lose and that means palice go down will you still want Charlton to get points from the game?0 -
Yeah I would. I love Charlton more than I "hate" Palace.ElfsborgAddick said:
