Weegie... if she did take the offer of a face to face meeting hosted by them I strongly suggest you do it. Business woman to woman, like.

Major likelihood I'd lose the rag with her! Let's see but probably hypothetical in any case...

They have met before, she interviewed her for Trust News. The interview was intelligent, fair - and positive. But it did nothing to persuade KM she could trust the Trust. One of the many disappointments that eventually pushed us to the conclusion that seeking meaningful dialogue with her is fruitless , because she does not want to offer it.
  • Great stuff, Weegie

    Go girl !

    Yeah, it's quite good

    Thanks, boss.
@LargeAddick - no reply and we have been chasing.
Ken, cheers - will do that, though we are not sure editorial guidelines apply to Clemmit as he is a freelancer 'giving an opinion' unless you have further insight?
Makes very little difference that he is 'freelance, most staff including 'talent' are.
It may have changed but ALL staff have to attend mandatory training through the Academy, especially the news staff.
as the head of that states......

The BBC's values are non-negotiable for every BBC journalist.

BBC director of news and current affairs James Harding stresses that BBC journalism has an “uncompromising commitment to accuracy, to impartiality, to diversity of opinion, and to the fair treatment of people in the news”.

He says BBC journalists need to "understand the impact of our journalism not just on our audiences but on the people we are reporting about”.

    also: http://www.bbc.co.uk/academy/journalism/values/article/art20130702112133794

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/editorialguidelines/guidelines.

The Hutton enquiry, made it compulsory for ALL journalists to attend these courses, even people like myself who dealt with largely visual material, and involved with the printed material. Of course the BBC is a very different organisation to the one I worked in 6 years ago, but Russell Brand, and Ross were 'freelance'

Andrew Gilligan himself was working on '5 live' at the time of the Kelly incident, so I am sure they are more than aware of there care of duty. I think Gilligan was a 'correspondent' at the time of that particular shit storm!.....

More than happy to assist you on this.

I am pretty sure that there is a feedback programme on the wireless.
On the Home Service I believe.

We need to respond to this lazy piece of "journalism" by all means possible. If that means other people using all the BBC response channels, I'm all for it.

Don't know about his Mum but I'm sure it's been suggested earlier on this thread that he didn't have a Dad...

Had a good long chat with @ClemmitMark this morning and I can assure #cafc supporters he fully understands the fans concerns.

I've replied saying it would be good if Clemmit could confirm that on air...

Bit late now though isn't it? Clemmit was too busy scoffing down free sausage rolls and lapping up Meire's spin and nonsense to do his job properly. He went on national radio and basically said everything's fine at Charlton, when nothing could be further from the truth.

I'm not on twitter but I hope he got proper pelters on there. Maybe he has been embarrassed enough to get it right next time.

Absolutely, unless he shares that understanding on air it means nothing.

Well I think if nothing else it may now have dawned on Clemmit, as it has on various others in the past , that he picked on the wrong set of fans.

Great team effort in response, well done us.

I've just had a chat on the phone with Clem too (was not expecting that call!)

I think he's doing the rounds now for a chat about Charlton based on the reaction of the last couple of days.

We had a good chat and he took on board what I had to say about Charlton and our situation and vice versa.

He's also planning to speak directly to CARD on the phone.

It is to Clemmit's credit that he has not ignored the response of Charlton fans.
Hopefully he will himself now have a bit of perspective, and communicate that.

On air to redress the balance or else it means nothing. Needs to be from the horse's mouth.
