the true scandal right now is - the 'Transfer rumours thread', the very life blood of this forum, has been demoted from a sticky to a bog standard, common-or-garden, stinking plebeian scum thread.

The old girl deserves more respect.

    I always take the train when I travel to Charlton Life and I always travel on my own. So I was alone on the way back from moderating. There was a carriage full of Lifers. There were a couple of drunk posters who came up and started picking a fight with me. People were screaming in my face. Obviously, the fans were really upset because they wanted the Transfer Rumours thread back as a sticky and we had brought in Kevin Foley with no Announcement experience. I know not all Charlton fans are like this but this was not nice. It was frightening.

    Before this there were a lot of hate emails saying we were ruining the forum and that we didn’t know what we were doing. I understand some of the criticism but look where we were last year and how we have improved with the stickies we’ve brought in: Statbank and Prediction League will be real winners. In the end, what you want is good stickies for Charlton Life. It is irrelevant whether they come from the network.

    You have to remember that it’s just 2% of Lifers who are unhappy. Everyone else is enjoying the changes we’ve made.

    I think Stig is right.

    There has been a very poor return in terms of players in against the Postings and views.

    It is embarrassing, the thread needs to be swept under the table and the numbers that now total 817K should have been undisclosed from the start.
