Still incredibly thin in midfield and up top1

So I am a skinny bald person, I could still be a good footballerCovered_End_Lad said:Still incredibly thin in midfield and up top

Excellent work as ever from @Scoham
24 players not counting Bergdich
Two long term injuries (Kashi and Diarra)
Two short term injuries (Lennon and Bauer)
Leaves 20 of whom
One is the third choice keeper (Mitov) and another is likely to leave (Tex)
Leaves us with 18 players or exactly the squad for Saturday.
At least Slade won't have any selection problems although two players only joined the squad this week and the two main strikers (Ajose and Novak) have only had one half v Welling together and that assumes Novak is fit.

Every time I see this and see 2020 next to Sarr - I just can't stop laughing. What the hell were they thinking3

Something to do with the £45M price tag previously I reckon.ricky_otto said:Every time I see this and see 2020 next to Sarr - I just can't stop laughing. What the hell were they thinking

Thanks for the update, really does highlight what we are up against
Not 1 penny more for those bastards1 -
I think that must have been drinking twenty twenty (remember that) when they signed him.Covered End said:

Hanlan moved to first team squad.0

Had anyone seen joe aribo play? Bearing in mind we have an aged, slow, donkeyesk midfield, is he worth a place in the squad for cup games?2

I like Aribo and have in the squad. He is energetic and good on the ball.1

All about getting Charles Cook in for me. He's the next cab off the rank.0

what on earth is the score with Jorge Texeria?
No mention of an injury
Apparently Russell Slade doesnt even know who he is.
We are right mugs if we let him go on some numpty loan deal on 31.08.
Pay his wages all summer and then get nothing to show for it?
Classic CEO Merie handling of the playing side.1 -

Whether you believe that is another thing like Ba being ill.1 -
ok thanks for that, did he get a wrist injuring tweeting the BFG? because Slade hasnt even seem him at Sparrows apparently.
Dont mind if we sell him, understand that might be mandatory. Selling him for peanuts/loan deal with have to contribute to, on 31/08, thats complete tosh IMO. lets see how it develops then.0 -
Is Samuel Bone (I think that was his name) still with us? Is he /was he a pro?
Be interested to hear from those who attend youth games what order they would place our young CB's in terms of potential. I have heard lots of good things about Konsa, Thomas and Yeo and i think Assiana was the chap who came from Man City having captained Enland youth teams, right?0 -

I don't understand why Tex hasn't been linked with other clubs, why the likes of Brighton or QPR haven't snapped him up, as he proved himself last season, playing well AND staying fit and injury free0 -
Late last season, a poster on here said that Sam Bone was leaving. I think they said that'd been heard from his dad.Athletico Charlton said:Is Samuel Bone (I think that was his name) still with us? Is he /was he a pro?

Quick google shows he has been on trial at Sunderland this summer. Not sure if he has signed though.Ben18 said:

Yeah it seems he was either released or turned down a contract.
Interesting interview with him here, he was born in Malaysia and his dad used to play over there.

Brighton could do with Tex. They are short of centre halves.0

nah, it's Johnson they need!Splodge said:Brighton could do with Tex. They are short of centre halves.

If the Brighton scouts are reading this, I would totally recommend Roger Johnson the committed fans favourite over Teixara who has limited UK experience and is on a long long contract which might be difficult.1

Give us £2m, and we'll throw in Bergdych as wellAlwaysneil said:If the Brighton scouts are reading this, I would totally recommend Roger Johnson the committed fans favourite over Teixara who has limited UK experience and is on a long long contract which might be difficult.

For £2.5m we can probably find Ba down the back of the sofa.1

That's a huge shame as on FM16 you've rated Sam as being a huge prospect for our first team. Obviously the manager at the time didn't get him tutored by the right 1st team player!Scoham said:Yeah it seems he was either released or turned down a contract.
