Yep. Right near the end of the match he won a header down near the corner flag and in front of the Charlton 'heavies' (youth club) who had congregated behind the goal, behind the pitch side wall. After winning the header, a middle aged rotund fella was giving both barrels to Johnson so it probably stems from that. No condoning his response at the end though; just a bit of context.iaitch said:I assume the fans weren't throwing abuse his way?

Just got home after leaving my house originally 17 hours ago. For a professional football player to tell fans who have paid to travel all that way to watch us lose is beyond a disgrace. If he is somehow still here next week at Northampton I hope he gets absolutely battered.0

Sorely tempted to go to Cheltenham simply to abuse the tool!4

I'll be staying firmly at home and abusing my own tool like I should have done today instead of the 13 hours of driving and shelling out a fortune for that.boggzy said:Sorely tempted to go to Cheltenham simply to abuse the tool!

Johnson is a mug. Everyone who knows him in football thinks he's a mug. Fans of all clubs think he's a mug. He probably thinks it himself. Take it easy on him anyhow, anyone born this side of the 60s called Roger has probably had enough problems.18
-
There was also a sarcastic thumbs up to the away fans when the final whistle was blown0
-
I was going to rant, but it's bedtime, and me and my pillow have a hot date. However, words cannot express what I think of this vile individual right now.2

I think you will find that she was the knobbee rather than the knobber, although I may be wrong.drewman said:
This would be brilliant if true. Mind you, it never did Karen Brady's reputation any harm when she was knobbing peschosolido.Dave2l said:
The club must have at least heard the POTY sniff sniff story/allegation/rumourlegaladdick said:What Johnson seems to have overlooked is that many fans travelled hundreds of miles and spent a large sum of their own money to support him and the rest of the team. To abuse them is unforgivable.
No doubt Meire will give him a bonus.
They decided to re-hire him. Surely they would have at least said a few things to him, asked a few questions about that.
Anyone else does that at their work place they are sacked on the spot and considered a very unprofessional piece ah crap. Let alone a professional football club
I get a strange feeling Rojo and Meire are close or more friendly. Probably bollocks though. Hopefully bollocks.9 -

Roger Johnson: I'm at Wolves for the money
Defender Roger Johnson today admitted he stays at Wolves because of the money

It beggars belief that a professional footballer can be that disrespectful to fans who have shelled out to get to Bury in such numbers.
The guy clearly has no allegiance to the shirt or the fans who have paid his wages at Charlton and at his previous clubs.
Can kind of see why such character traits would appeal to Katrien Meire (who I think was instrumental in bringing him to the club). She too demonstrates an arrogant utter disregard for the fans or their views. I can't imagine either shedding a tear on the journey back.
If Johnson is chosen for Cheltenham - the away stand behind the goal is (or used to be) very close to the pitch so we might expect more of the same if things don't go well.
Truly sad state of affairs.

Gonna ask him to come to French Addicks and not pick him up from the airport10

Interesting that him and Kevin Foley were both at Wolves at the same time - and both training separately from the first team.Coyotejohn1947 said:cafc_harry said:Just got home after leaving my house originally 17 hours ago. The sad thing is...and incredibly disrespectful thing:
He will get away with it. The charlton fans will get taken the piss out of again.1 -
We've gone from the likes of Matt Taylor and Leon Cort to excrement like this. Sums up what's happened to the club, really.16

Phil Chapple gave the north stand the fist and a few choice words after getting booed for passing the ball back to the keeper again.
A guy who used to sit next to me in the East Stand shouted at Paul Konchesky after he misplaced a pass. This man had a particularly booming voice, said "What the bloody hell was that!?" Konchesky shouted back "Go f*** your mum."29 -
It's a shame. CL used to be a forum when opinions although different were respected. I am not happy with the ownership but to slag off a new team on day 1 is disappointing. As soon as we went 1 down the crowd lost heart, up until then it was a good day out.Off_it said:

We wanted a British manager - we now have one, so why don't you give him time?
I am concerned that CL seems to be developing the toxic element which invaded the crowd last season, if this continues it is very unlikely that I will be participating at all in anything Charlton related. To me honestly I want to watch football, end of story. CL used to be a great companion activity not any more, deeply disappointed9 - Sponsored links:

I think everybody wants to watch football, trouble is it's not football we're watching but an extended soap opera of the destruction of our once great club.kimbo said:

Football at any cost ? Is watching football your main priority when following Charlton ? Are you not concerned about the management of the club you follow ?kimbo said:

What happened in the end to QPR's Hill, Dunne and Fer after Burnley? Were they fined?
We've got far bigger problems than Johnson and KM would appreciate having this very cynical "pro" as a convenient distraction from the holes in the team. Not that it matters to some who almost fell over themselves to spend a little time with her outside the ground pre match.0 -

There will always be passionate fans at either end of the spectrum as they watch their club being destroyed in front if them.
Some like yourself are more forgiving and prepared to give time for change to take effect. Others have little patience having spent their hard earned and all day. travelling 2/3rds the length of this country only to see their hopes for the new season dashed by a poor performance and then getting a slagging from one of our players.
Fans feelings were running very high after defeat as to quote Tony Mowbray 'we should be beating teams like Bury'.
I find it very disappointing therefore that you glibly tar everyone on this site with the toxic 'brush'. This online community is far more cosmopolitan and understanding than any other Charlton fans forum that I am aware of.
Don't let the regime drive a wedge between us. Stick with it, stick together, we all want the best for our club for the future but if not maybe just take a time out from CL in these very emotive times.23 -

What a plank...Slade sort him out, there must be something in that little rule book, if not then there should be!
The more concerning issue for me is why is he even in the starting line up in the first place! Is he really our best option?!0 -
