Quite saddened by this.

Good luck with the treatment Richard, positive outcomes for a cancer diagnosis are good these days.3

Think this just shows why we have some of the best set of fans in England.
We might be struggling, our club is getting ripped apart, but when it comes down to it this really does show how together we are ... proud to be a Charlton fan and hopefully tonight is the kick start of our season
We are Red, We are one, We are Charlton.
All the best RM, wishing you a speedy recovery2 -

I hope the prognosis is exactly as reported as it sounds positive. I also hope that a detachment and a time to think gives Murray time to see that this owner is a very destructive force for the club I know he loves. I think he has done what he has done in recent years for the right reasons, but he has been wrong. I hope for the day, not far in the future, when a fit and well Murray returns and becomes part of the solution rather than part of the problem.1

Richard Murray you may have lost your way regarding the future of CAFC,
But like all long standing (or sitting) Charlton fans i hope this is one battle you can win.
Wishing you the very best from 3 generations of CAFC fans.0 -
I very much hope that Richard Murray makes a full recovery and wish him the best of good health going forward.
Although I have appreciation of his earlier success in being at the helm during our best years with Curbs, my view is he damaged his reputation irrevocably by remaining part of the current regime.

My thoughts exactlyjohnnyhumphrey said:Whatever may have happened in recent years under this regime,we cannot forget his tireless work throughout those dark times at Selhurst and Upton Park, the wonderful days in the Premiership and his selflessness in keeping this club afloat on his own diminishing resources. No one is perfect but RM did more for our club than most during its history.
Best wishes to him for a full and speedy recovery and our thoughts will be with him and his family.

Notice he hasn't 'resigned' to any of the three Charlton related companies on companies house?

Someone said on facebook (mightve been Sue but not sure) that he's staying as a director but just not a chairman or something like that anyway.sammy391 said:Notice he hasn't 'resigned' to any of the three Charlton related companies on companies house?
